Do you have Novice Medic?
This game isn't a one-skill game. If you don't have novice medic, getit so you can heal yourself while you fight. The better you get at healing yourself, the tougher MOBs you can fight and the more XP you get. A novice medic can use Stimpack B's which will heal your HA pools for 100-200 each hit. Make a slot for the stimpacks on your icon bars at the top of the screen.

Where do you get Stimpacks?
Well, if you have any money you can buy them on most bazaars, but they can get expensive if you go through them fast. Or, get novice scout and novice artisan, a little more medic, and... voila... you can build your own stimpacks while you're sitting on your arse waiting for your mind to heal!

This really is a multi-faceted game.
I have Master Medic, Master Marksman, medium scout, medium artisan and I use ALL of those skill on a daily basis. At some point, unfortunately, I'll have to find some skills to give up to finish Rifleman.

You aren't the first person to be looking for this, and certainly wont be the last. Problem is that this is prolly not the right place to look for your answer..

Try this:

They have some pretty good info about going through the Rifle portion of the Marksman tree. Once you get to Novice Rifleman, come back here and do a search. Most people agree that once you get MS2, you can take on a good deal of nasties without issue..

Except when they teleport on your head and do 2.5x damage.
