Yoinked this from the Discussion Forum...
Thunderheart transmitted via the world wide web:
I'm working with the devs to get my Test Center character beefed up with the ability to get skills from all the professions. Then what I am going to do is schedule group outings with the Player Corresponents. What we'll do is pick 18 of ya and me, the correspondent and you guys will go out on TC and you can show me what the pain is. When I can reproduce it and explain it better internally, we can get a lot more done on all of the issues.
I'd like the correspondents to work with the top performers in their forums to pick 18 people and the 20 of us would group up, go in game and talk about gameplay, challenges, bugs, etc. Just a way to increase communication. If you guys can show me whats going on, I'll have a better understanding. I am working my way through all the professions, but I dont think you guys want to wait for me to grind through everything before I can share insights with the devs. So, I need to interact with ya more in-game.
Just a heads up. Now, if people are going to be able to show TH the problems on the TC, will they be able to copy their character over for the day(s), or will they have some way of selecting the skills they want so they are able to play a Rifleman and show him instead of tell him?

far as i know no u have to go grind out the skills.
taht is why no one goes there to test. they dont want to pay to play a TC.

If he wants to feel the "burn" of being a Rifleman, he should take the same time as we have (or will) to get to Master. Are there T21s on TC?

He has already done it. I posted a couple of his comments on another thread, it seems as if he feels the pain of the newbie rifleman. (I hope this doesn't mean removing the 2.5x melee, I really think it is needed now.)

Sef, where you been on Tarq bro? I'm a master now, A'rien is rebel, and the galaxy's been turned upside down! 20's out with Holomadness and it's turned into Rifleman Wars over there. But you are right. 2.5x is sooooooo needed.

Long time no see Jardone, lol why did A'rien go rebel?
Anyway my PA is mostly from the UK, all of it from europe so we moved to Chimaera, more PvP in our primetime. Tarq had some great people, just not enough of them played at the same time we mostly played, it gets old having to wait up till about 2am for decent PvP.
The good thing about moving server is it has really upped my interest in the game again, I'm playing as much as I used to (far too much
). It has had the same effect on most of the PA that came over as well so overall it's a good move for us, although getting MRM again is going to be a pain.

Hehe, getting 18 regulars from the rifleman forum together will be hard - it's not like we have hundreds to choose from. Take the people participating here, subtract the ones who can't play at that date/time, substract the ones who are too frustrated and disillusioned to help, substract the ones who can't log on at that date. Not many people left I guess.
But I don't see the point anyway. If we have to log on to test center, and everyone is a novice marksman but TH, what is the point? If we are just there to tell him: "Now shoot 4 times and notice your mind is empty" or "shoot this thing twice and notice that you are one-hit killed", I think we can just make him a list of things to try. No need to make this a big event and be in game with him for that.
I wish I could be optimistic, but this sounds like a "well we give them the feeling we participate but we haven't really thought about what we will do and how we are doing that" plan.

plus it wont do anygood cuz if if we transferred our skills over there there is nothing better than cdef rifles if your lucky enough to loot one.
and there response after using the CDEF rifle to test will be: "what HAM problem?? this cdef kills gubbers just fine." then TH or whoever is there will log out and ignore the issues... the problem is that TC is a bogus area that is useful for stress testing not actual in game profession testing.

The reason the Devs should allow us to magically copy those 19 people's characters, equipment and all, to the TC for that day. Here, try out my Adv. T21, now try out the Laser Rifle. Hey give a shot with my Jawa Ion, SG82, E11, or Spraystick. Tusken Rifle anyone?
Sef, I'll have to look up that post. Oddly it sounds familiar...

If I can get a enough days notice I'll go grind on TC to get a Rifleman up as high as I can. Otherwise I'm until the Devs give us an option to move skills over I'm playing on my normal server with my friends.
