i was just curious on this skill mod.. under its description it says it directly amplifies the effectivness of the AIM command.. but the aim command is not in the rifleman tree.. its the ranged support tree under marksman.. so why do we get such a huge bonus for a skill that isnt actually in the same skill tree? or does rifle aiming affect something else?

please someone clarify this for me.. im sort of confused on it

only works with the aim command. personally i find /aim to be about useless. why its there who knows?? why are camp kits around??

It just effects the /aim command afaik. I was thinking it might be useful when fighting those really high R / M defence guys in PvP. I don't really see much of a use for it at MRM in PvE, however my alt who is fairly close to novice uses it a lot.

Good luck on getting an answer. I had the same question about a month ago and it just denegrates to a discussion on the usefulness of the aim command <see above> I agree though, it makes absolutely no sense for an elite profession to be granted abilites for something thats not even in its tree. Its not a huge deal but the /aim command should probably be granted at novice marksman.

i gave him a complete concise answer. only thing to add is that using /aim for every shot reduces your rate of fire by 1/3

well, it just doesnt make sense.. i dont have the extra points to get the skill with the /aim command.. but that should be in the rifleman tree, especially if we get a huge +40 bonus towards it at master. its kinda pointless for us to get the mods for it.. like all the other pointless stuff we have

I agree. /aim should be included in a skill that riflemen are required to get if we are going to get a bonus to it.

The fact is that lower level users use it all the time, but by the time you hit master, you almost never use it. Getting the huge +40 bonus at master is a waste.

maybe this should be brought up to the dev's in one of the many lists of fixes needed for rifleman. different classes sometimes have the same skill mods so maybe they should add /aim to the rifleman tree
