Can someone tell me EXACTLY what it does?

pve = ?

Makes me hard to hit? makes me invisible, or invisible on radar? I just need some clarification.

And if anyone is a master ranger can you do the same from camo please. Id really like to know what my enemy both human and non human is going to see when i use both of these in combat.

thanks

Take cover makes a rifleman dead. I never use it. You cant move, mobs run up on you, you can't shoot them when they are on top of you and your in cover. it takes them 2 seconds to reach you and when they get there you suffer 2.5 penalty for being prone +2.5 penalty for holding a rifle. thats 5 times damage= dead rifleman.

If you feel like a suicide its a great way to go.

It's still worthless, it will always be worthless, and should just be deleted so they can replace it with another skill.

BTW -The only way you can move in cover is if you have Expert Concealment Tactics, this skill gives you sneak wich allows you to move in cover.

I don't know what you people are thinking. Take cover is great for PvP. Just go Overt and sit outside a city of the opposing faction. Take cover on a cliff, and pick off rebs/imps.

It is my understanding that none of the visual effect specials have any effect in PvP. The following is what I've assumed from my short experience so far in SWG.

Take Cover

PC has no problem targeting you or detecting you on radar.

NPC has a difficult time detecting you.

Mask Scent

PC owned pets have no problem targeting you or detecting you.

NPC pets/creatures have a difficult time detecting you.

It's my understanding that /takecover is supposed to give you additional bonuses to ranged defense. As far as I can tell, it works in that capacity, but I have not done any extensive testing on it.

it does give you a slight benefit in ranged combat. but the benefit of just running around in small circles to throw enemy attacks off is much larger. i see no use for cover as by the time the thing/person notices you and starts coming after you and your on your feet they are inside melee range and your liekly to be toast.

value = none for conceal.

your far better off just kneeling, it gives the best mix of regen and attack bonus to hit.

Not that you need an accuracy bonus as a Rifleman.

i havent noticed too many misses maybe one or two a nite.

typically i just stand there and shoot if it is a monster maybe a bit of running while it is closing and my pets are doing something else. if it is a NPC just run in small circles to throw his aim off while i nail him.

trying to conceal in PVP is just foolish so no point in even talking about it...
