Thread: Does the blocking skill even work?
As a master rifleman I get a fair amount of blocking skill, however, it never works.
I watched my combat log after taking out a slew of low level creatures without a weapon.
I was hit at least 200 times
I blocked 0 times
(note: the creatures I was hitting dodged a lot, and blocked/counterattack a few times)
Now, I noticed the creatures did seem to miss quite a few times. This applies that the melee defense skill does do somthing, then again, they where lowlevel creatures.
It blocks. The problem is, Block doesn't seem to actually Block damage, unless you're hit with a normal attack. Specials SAY they get blocked, and you take damage anyway.
Also, Block in combat spam shows up as "counterattack", which is why you missed it.

Wich means block is useless in PVP right now..
I was thinking about dropping CH and taking up pikeman for all the extra defensive skills, which add to my rifle defenseive skills, I think i'll wait until they fix this. (if they ever do)
