I would really like to know exactly how the ranged damaged mitigation is working if anyone is aware of it. If not it would be a good idea if our correspondent could get a dev response on the issue.

We know that at mitigation level 3 the modifier is 60%, but what exactly is modifed?

Is it the the total damage that's reduced by 60%?

Is it just the max damage that's reduced by 60%?

Is it the different between minimum and maxium damage that's reduced by 60%?

In case 1 it's not especially damaging for riflemen. In case 2 and 3 it'll make our currently best weapon the laser rifle much worse.

I don't use the laser rifle t21 or Jawa ion are much better at higher levels.

Acctually if you would calculate it the laser rifle is still better than those 2. Of course both of thouse have their uses in special occassions.

Wow ,what really sucks is that alot of servers don't have the T21....

so, if it is the difference between min-max damage. then the servers that rely on the laser rifles.... well basically we are screwed.....

From what I've seen posted by the corespondants, it sounds like it is the difference between the ranges:

Laser 30-360 would drop to 30-162against a mitigration 3. (360-30 = 330 *40% = 132 +30 = 162)

T-21 100-340 would drop to 100-192 against a mitigration 3.

Jawa 100-200 would drop to 100-140 against a mitigration 3.

These number are rough guesses, but as you can see the min stats GREATLY effect how these weapons work.

Also, I"ve heard the WS corespondant saying that the TC update also overhauls AP. But have not been able to find much information about this.
