I have been working on getting Master rifleman since around August. I am a casual player and have had a lot of trouble leveling. I chose the path of rifleman back when I first made my toon and tried the CDEF rifle. I just loved sniping from a distance and killing MOBS before the knew what hit them. AT the moment I need 20k combat XP till I hit master and will push through that in the next day or to. I just wanted to thank everyone here for all of the great information and help I have received. ALos for the others that follow me or are working on the tree remember Flushing shot 2 and pikets equal great XP.

Get some C12 greandes and join a group hunting pickets you'll get that 20k combat xp in 30 min tops, no joke. See if a weaponsmith will make you a crate of 25 and you'll be good to go. Hope that helps, and congrats.

SoraWyte,

C12 grenades can be used by anyone and since there is no "Grenade XP" category, all damage done by grenades goes towards Combat XP. So if you normally get "1000 Rifle XP plus 100 Combat XP" on a certain creature when you kill it with your rifle, you would instead see "1000 Combat XP plus 100 Combat XP" if you kill it with grenades. You just want to make sure that the only non-bleed damage you do to the creature is done with grenades; otherwise, the total XP is divided up between the weapons doing non-bleed damage. Also, note it is only non-bleed damage that counts, so you can get a bleed on something to help kill it quicker, but as long as the only non-bleed damage done is with Grenades, you will still get full credit for the kill as Combat XP.

So the trick is to hit it with Mindshot1 and Mindshot2 (if you have it) to start a stacked bleed, hit Peace to avoid shooting the creature with normal shots, move away before the bleeds hit and kitethe creature (stay ahead of it out of its range)until the bleeds take the mind pool down to 1 point of damage left. All the while, avoid doing any other kind of damage to the creature (you may want to unequip your rifle to avoid shooting back). Once the bleeds have done their work, move back into range and throw grenades until it dies. Grenades do random pool damage. Since a random pool hit will take at least one point of damage from each pool, a single grenade hit at this point will kill it.

If you do this without shooting it with your rifle for anything other than the bleeds and avoid doing any other kind of damage, you will get full credit for the kill as Combat XP since the only non-bleed damage was done with grenades.
