Thread: How do you use SNIPER SHOT?
Sniper Shot is invaluable in PvP, especially when it's being played in the way it really should (one team defending something, others attacking the same thing) because it means everyone isn't in a giant ball there's actually front lines, and we're the only people who can deathblow the suckers who get incapped on the other teams front lines.
It's also great to use on TKM's when they think they're smart in waiting till you come up to deathblow them and then using Force of Will; they never see it coming ![]()

You aim at an incapped player within range, use the skill, and they're dead (death-blowed).
There's nothing dishonourable about it, but people complain that it used indiscriminately in PVP battles to kill-steal (get the faction points for killing another player when someone else has done the hard work to incapp them).

Yeah, kill steal is true, but we must remember that before you had sniper shot you almost never got any of your kills because you shoot from as far as possible while melee and pistols are up close. So the guy gets incapped by you (there mind is what left them) but they get the kill. Now, you drop em and get to clean em up too! And 99% of the ones I snipe I did the most damage too anyhow.
Something that I did recently, was in anchor, there were 5 good imps raiding. we were takin them down more than they were dropping us but do to revenge tef the fight just kept going. I told the group to not DB, I incapped 2 and they did the rest, then I quickly sniper shot all 5 in 5 seconds and ran out of town. Set up a HTFB about 600 meters out, took off the armor to heal and waited for the tef to drop.
This tactic ended the fight finally and sent the imps home. If I had to physically run through town doing the deathblows the other defenders would have been confused and took the initiative themseves, hence tef'ing the town again and the fight would have kept grinding on with no end. Also, by the time I got to the 3rd or 4th guy the fist guy I DB'd would have been out of the clone center and shooting at me again. So, sniper shot and a fast run out of town ended the fight. Its never about the faction points to me, I can get far more running faction missions, its about winning the fight and securing the area.
