Hi guys. I was curious what everyone else thought about this:
DO you choose a rifle based purely on its damage/speed/etc., or do you choose one based on flavor, or a little of both?
I personally use a tusken rifle. I know it doesn't have the best damage or fastest speed out there, although they are both reasonably (in my opinion). I chose the tusken for the fact that it LOOKS like a rifle is supposed to look. In a nutshell, being a ranger, and going for the whole "outdoorsman" look, the tusken was the only one that looked like a hunting rifle, as opposed to one of those stockless shotgun things....
Anyone else choose flavor over effectiveness?

Choseing a rifle on what it looks like is good for RP. However, when it comes down to killing things, it's about as worthless as a CDEF. I have a few on my wall for decoration but they are slower the a T21, have a max damage lower then other rifles min, and no ap(I think). I have a WS character and the tusken is one of the first rifles you can craft and one of the few you can do without a crafting station.

yeah I had one like that a while back... I got a couple new ones a few days ago, one with 4.9 speed and 130-250 damage, and another with a 6.0 speed with 250-350 damage. basically I switch between the 2 depending on whether I need to shoot a little faster or make my shots count a little more
I've found the damage is a little more reliable with them than say, a laser rifle, which has a much larger min-max damage range....
Anyway, I was just looing to see if there were any other players out there like me
