Hiya! After ive read lots of threads about grinding rifleman fast or with having lots of fun id like to know how i can help a friend to level a random elite profession up. I've been master riflegirl for some months now but since i usually hunt alone (others shooting at my targets only gets them aggroed and thus they beat me up in melee) i dont have much experience with this.

Thanks for your help,

Kitten

Rifleman isn't really the best profession to help someone level. To help someone level a combat profession you basically want someone to tank the MOB so the other person can earn XP and remain safe.

However there are a couple ways that may help depending on what profession is being leveled and what other professions you have.

Use your Stun attack to increase the hit rate for the person leveling. If either of you have a KD attack then use your Dizzy attacks so a KD can then be landed and the target kept down longer (only works on NPC's).

You can also use ConcealShot to weaken a tough MOB so it's easier to kill. You can also use your skills to pull a MOB that BAF's so it won't making it easier to kill.

But again, it's going to depend on what other skills and what profession they are leveling. As the interactions between the various professions and how best to assist will depend.

the best way i found to help someone is help them pull single target off so they dont get swarmed if they are a melee profs also if they get in trouble u can kill anything in a very shot time if u try.

  1. A good way to help is to use a lower damage rifle then you usually use... try a tusken or something so that you don't out damage the person you are trying to help. Also to help slow down your attacks use stacked aims so that it slows you down more. This way you can help kill a creature without stealing all the experience.

  2. single draw

  3. weaken creatures with conceal shot and

  4. just provide covering fire if the person gets into trouble (don't shoot unless the person calls for it)

I found being a Riflelady extremely useful in helping friends level up CH. Since they get max CH xp for a creature as soon as their pet gets a single hit on it, the tactic was easy... I'd get set up in position within range of the critters (usually pickets on dant), and they'd send their pet(s) in to attack. As soon as I saw their pets do damage, I'd unleash and take it down. This usually could be done before the other critters would agro, but even if they did, I'd just wait until the pet(s) had done any damage to the next target, then drop it etc. For me it's extremely safe as the pets already are tanking, and for them it speeds the process up considerably. Nothing beats spammed headshot at MR speed to selectively take down targets. You don't want to use SS2 because it could cause the critters to agro on you instead.
