Thread: No Rifles beyond t21

How come?? Are they planning to add something or is this rifle so Uber that I won't need anything else.

I still find it kind of sad that I can actually count all the rifles in the game on my2 hands. i would really like to see some more variance in the future, like another spraystick style rifle, or a bolt action slow but damaging. Even the abilities to modify the guns more would be nice, like sacrificing damage for a +ranged defense or + cover mod built directly into the gun. I just feel like there isnt really enough in this game as it is, I can see in the forseeable future every rifleman in the game within 1 month being master rifleman, wielding the best t21.

Well really there isnt any use for any other weapons, besides role play purposes. Everyone will be using the T21, unless there a bit crazy in the head, and like the challenge. No point for more weapons when 99 percent of the people will be using one weapon. Its a waist of programming. Its not onyl consistant dmg, its high dmg. Altough the speed may be bad, you can easily make up for that with Master Rifleman. I plan on getting my T21 DMG sliced not Speed. Especially if they add in AR3 armor. Wich I hope they do. Id like to stand a bit of a chance vs other Rifleman

These schematics are just the ones you get from the raw profession... the REAL good stuff will be found through missions and exploration.

Cant get much better then the T21 , only 2 AR3 weapons, a Grenade and the T21, and with expir. its going to have a whole lot of dmg.

I remember reading something about special schematics, they would be quest Items as well as loot on occasion. With each expansion that is issued I think we can hope to see new weapons, armour types, and all sorts of new goodies to play with.

It's sad to see that our correspondent is so closed minded about this issue. Diversity of weapons is a good thing. It allows you to create a character that is unlike other riflemen, it would allow for more strategic elements to be added to combat, it could help boost the terribly boring path to weaponsmith. Right now the T21 is hands down the best weapon in the game and so soon every rifleman will get one. There will be a little variation of the stats based on which weaponsmith makes it but for the most part we'll all have the same weapon and combat style (a style that maximizes the T21). Instead of one uber-rifle there should be an upper class of rifles with similar dps (damage per second) but with different ways to get the damage. Then on top of these weapons should be a class of elite rifles that decay rapidly, or require ammo or something to restrict the ownership to those players that can afford to use them.


As our correspondent you need to have some vision for how the game can be made better instead of explaining why SWG, in it's current state, is adequate.

Please quit bragging about your lovely T21's. On Bria (and several other servers, from what I've heard) there are none of the requisite minerals for this divine weapon's construction. There is no substitute. I'm almost master rifleman and still using a laser rifle. It's just sad. Who cares if there's something above T21 when Bria doesn't even have those?

The thing is, adding things should be starting yet. There are so many bugs still in this game were still in beta. Its best we work out bugs, before we start thinking of adding things. Yes I think we should add more, but more on the drops line. If weapons get better then T21 its overkill. They should move the T21 and Laser Rifle up the Rifle lines, and then add some lower level rifles in between if anything. T21 at Master Rifleman, seems perfectly fine to me. Gives us something to go for rather then that crappy style they give us at master.

Carver i fell for you. i just got my t21 last night after running almost 200 gnort missions to pay for it, but the 1700 head shot (ionly gotten to 2 fights)that i got in on a bol bolla was really nice and made it worth all the work.
