Hey all I am currently 3/0/0/3 in Rifleman, I am also Ranger 0/0/4/0 and CH 4/3/4/4.

I can be MRM, keep the Tracking Tree in Ranger and be CH 4/3/4/4 and have 2 skill points left.

Now when I become MRM which will be soon I need will I still be able to PvP??

Ranger I cant drop, its how I earn my credits. CH im not overly happy with, im just using it as a fill in for now figuring it would be helpfull for when I go out hunting for NS Elders, High Level Tuskens and other High-Level NPC's. So whatI wanna know is with the 61 remaining skill points I get after Mastering Rifleman and still having Ranger Tracking what can I do with those points to make my toon morecapable for PvP. Any Suggestions??

I'm not sure if you have enough points for this but if you get 0/2/4/0 in doctor you can do some pretty nice self buffs on yourself. You won't be able to cure poison/kd/disease/etc like a master doc will but not bad. Most people will probably tell you to add one of the melee professions though such as fencer for the extra def. I very much prefer the medical aspect of it though myself.

Dump the CH stuff as it's borked and invest all your points into TK. The only reason why I say this is the defense acuity (found under precision striking [uses combat xp]) stacks with all primary defenses. This will add in +71 of a enhanced chance of you successfully blocking the attack. Also, pickup at least meditation 2 so that you can cure poisons and diseases. Not only will you gain kinetic damage (great for NS and other high level NPC) but with what little points you have left you can also get a KD move or two so that when you pvp you can not only dizzy the player but run up and KD him to keep him to the ground.

Sad part is while using the rifle I take 4x more damage than I do as TK only. My current build is Master Rifleman / Master Tera Kasi / Pikeman 0/0/3/0 and I've found that in PvE TK is the easiest as you don't take much damage, can tank high level creatures and in PvP stand up to Jedi.

primary defenses are ranged/melee defense, and they stack and work no matter what weapon you're using.

dodge/block/counterattack are secondary defenses, and they only work when you're holding the weapon that corresponds with the defense-type (block for rifles and pike).

block isn't working correctly. without CoB, a melee-only skill, pikes and rifles are not seeing block mods working.

defensive acuity is not working. it doesn't stack with other secondary defenses. even if it did stack, it doesn't work on by itself.

one reason you're seeing a damage reduction when you drop the rifle is toughness. a master brawler/TKA takes a full 62% less damage from melee attacks.

First off, I would dump CH as it hasn't really reached that stable level in SWG as a profession yet so it still has a lot of holes that need plugging. I would get Fencer 1/0/0/0, I would definitely get some TKA skills for their defense and state offense (dizzy and knockdown), I would also get at least Novice Medic and find a Master Doctor who can make good Stim A's so you can heal yourself in the field. This skill can be discarded depending on which TKA skills you decided to go after though. I'm not sure how far your left over skill points will get you after after you drop your CH skills, but these are some of the skill I would go after if I were in your shoes.

Good luck and happy hunting!!

In response to the last post, I would get Stim B's and not stim A's. No matter how good your resources are Stim A's do not get very powerful. However, if you use advanced components on B's you can get a medical rating around 400 making some really nice stims you can use as a novice medic.

for PvP Rifleman all you really need to be good enough in pvp.

MCH is nice to have in killing hard stuff as most pets can get high kin with good HAM, tracking is good great for hunting down all those rareish tough boss style mobs like NS elder, Krayt and GDK.

You only need 1 prof for pvp as normal the stacking doesnt work unless u have a weapon equiped that uses it.
