My alt is master doc/rifles & he is my choosen pvp guy. I usually run with a group of 5-10 people and my part in our group is...

A.) Heal state effects (poison, dizzy, intim, etc.)

B.) Do the db'ing if we are outnumbered. Basically if the enemy has beenincapped for more than 10 seconds without db.

Staying in the back of our pack for me works out perfectly for me as I don't get targeted as much but I can suppliment our melee peoples damage.

PVE is good too because we have so many different damage types to work with. That and our weapons are capable of doing sick damage.

Rifleman/Doctor with rifle speed tapes is the best overall template in the game in my opinion. I was able to solo theneutral Corvette assassination mission after the extra super battle droids were added in 20 minutes. It is simply uber inPvP and in PvE. Another poster mentioned that Doc/TKA is better for PvE and I must disagree. TKA has light armor piercing weapons and no damage output. A rifleman will tear through krayts faster with conceal shot than a TKA with the best moves. It was a shame that I had to drop this template to continue the hologrind.

TKA may not have AP3 and what not but unless something has 100% Ken resist its more then likley goin down, cause of melee defense, sure you can take things out from a distance, but if they get close its not gonna be pretty

I have a friend, a master doctor, who is looking to pursue a combat profession. I thought I saw someone mention that Master Rifleman/Master Doctor was a good combination. Any pro's and con's he should be aware of?

Thanks,

TKM/Doc is about the same as this but better for soloing PvE, and is better in certain situations PvP, but Doc/Rifleman is a GREAT group template, this is so the doc can be at a range and heal and not be the tank/healer... just depends on his style of play on which would be better

As a whole, it is a very good template and as stated works very well in groups. The major weakness is our lack of state defenses and melee mitigation. Regardless, it works quite well. I can solo most anythingother than the 100% immunes and am almost totally self sufficient. Don't get me wrong, you can get in trouble fast. You just have to learn how to handle yourself and know when to run.

Hi there, I'm a master doc and I am also working up through rifleman. I can tell you one thing... I've been a master bounty hunter (from the old days of SWG) and also a master commando. While commando was probably the easiest prof. to be, I like my newest setup as Master Doc / Rifleman the best. Its a great setup and I highly recommend it. One thing to make sure you do though is to do a stat change ALL the way into the blue bar once you master doc. This will help lower the high costs on your blue bar and allow you to take it easy on all those food buffs there too, even with a full set of nice comp on.

I equipped 80% armor, 43% shields. and ate 25% damage resistant exo protein wafers (more efficient than synthsteak because of its ultra low filling of 5). I ran the entire time and alternated between treating bleeding and using a stim E. The target of the mission was a pain in the ass because of the 200 k HAM. The target dropped soon enough from myTenloss DXR-6 b. I was so proud of that event that I even took a screen shot.

Anyone that combines Doctor with a combat class is someone that is just too lazy to wait in line for a Doctor to buff them. I mean, with the amount of skill pointsMaster Doctortakes just so you can buff yourself without waiting in line, is it really worth it?

So you won't become a multimillionaire without Doctor... but you'll still be a millionaire with Master Rifleman+(Insert other combat profession here) because you will be much stronger and you can solo stronger creatures or NPCs alone. Where by wasting Master Doc skills won't allow you to do that.

I am almost MR and almost MD (crafting grrrr) and the reason I took MD (after droping CH) is because then I can get involved in the "business" aspect of SWG.

IMHO this game gets really really boring really fast once you master your combat profession. Sure I can pay 10k a buff anytime but going MD opens up the entire crafting world of SWG. Plus you can help your guild out a lot.

Yes, I wanna be able to buff myself and not stand in line in Coronet.

I guess its just something else to do once you get burned out. As a MR I can own pretty much any non-DWB type content as long as its not immune....but damm, if I get caught without buffs by a crazed durni I might die...hehe.

I have to debate that. Can a Fencer/Rifleman with TK meditation solo a Super Battle Droid? With Master Doctor, you can heal bleeding in one cure and you can heal your health and action for 2,000 points every 3 seconds. I was able to solo a Deathwatch Superbattle Droid with Doc/Rifleman. It took a hell of a long time but it was doable. The only way they can hurt you is with mind damage and with an ideal human stat migration + all the buffs and armor that you can have, it will take a long time to chip away over 3,000 mind.

For PvP, Doctor/Rifleman is simply GOD MODE! I raided an entire city and got 20 player kills and blew up 4 medium and 1 large tower turret by myself. Combat medics can't hurt you because you can cure poison and disease. Melee players can't hurt youwith knockdown/dizzy since you can cure dizzy while you are knocked down with a macro. The only people that can even hurt you are TKA's with head hit, Swordsmen with head hit 3, Jedi with one hand head hit 3, and other Riflemen
