Hey, I am a Bothan.

Right now i have master TKM,

I am thinking of going as a master TKM/Master Rifleman/4/4/0/0 Fencer and IV Ranged Support!

I was wondering if this would be a pretty good pvp template, and if not what should be changed... and also is the IV ranged support skill any good?

I was also thinking of the ranged support skill wasnt really worth it then i would go fencer 4/4/4/0

Please give me some suggestions...

Combat Equilibrium +55
Cover +90
Defense Vs. Blind +20
Defense Vs. Dizzy +15
Defense Vs. Knockdown +70
Defense Vs. Posture Change (Down) +80
Defense Vs. Posture Change (Up) +30
Defense Vs. Stun +25
Defensive Acuity +96
Dodge +30
General Ranged Aiming +30
Meditate +100
Melee Defense +173

these are some of the skills I will have with the TKM/Rifleman/44 fencer..

Now will that be enough dizzy defense? cause i feel I would need more... and what will the dodge do? will that help with anything? especially with comp armor?

i was also looking at a tkm/rifleman/some swordsman and i came up with about a Defense vs. Dizzy +45

I am still new to this game and have yet to PvP, so pleasepost some advice if you can

And what defenses are the most important, and what skills or w/e are the most important things to get.

like is defense acuity important? and how important is defense vs. dizzy, posture change, blind, etc...

and would defense vs. intimidate be something that is valuable?

I want to be a sniper first, and if someone is close have the ability to beat them off which is one reason i have TKM...

Please give me some constructive suggestions if possible

Thanks for everything!

And just like everyone else that PvP's in this game. I would think about dropping some fencer in order to add novice medic if I were you.

Well why should I get medic skills?

I have meditate so I can meditate off any wounds and most poisons i do believe.

and i have a few friends who are docs, even though i plan to make my guy as solo for pvp as possible.

And I like the extra bonuses I get to rifle defense, and dodge and the other stuff i get from it.

Please some constructive criticism/support

Thanks,

Not that I'm at liberty to comment on this, asI am only Master Rifleman, but to my understanding, Combat Medic owns the PvP scene. A Combat Medic/Mater Rifleman Combo is highly regarded as one of the better PvP templates, and considering it's the "veterans" that are saying this, I'd heed their advice. It's not about healing your own wounds, as much as it's about slamming your opponent with Poison attacks and MindShots. A buddy of mine is Master CM, and is working on Master Rifleman currently, and he says he can see the potential. And if going MCM/MR is the only way for ranged fighters to slap down all the TKM's out there, then more power to our Combat Medic-Rifleman. The amount of melee' dominance in PvP just disgusts me, but... I'll stop there.

I acutally thought I WAS being constructive for a change. CM/Rifleman is a very powerful template, but it is my experience that if you PvP with that you will suffer never-ending grief from your opponents, both in the form of tells and 3x incaps.

I PvP'd with a defensive stacked TKM (TKM | Fencer 4400 | Pistoleer 0040 | etc) for a couple months and was effective when grouped with experienced PvP Doctors, but I had a tough time when I was outnumbered and alone. The only way I found to "balance" the template for use in big and small battles was to drop some of the defenses and add medic. Stim-B's are way overpowered right now, so novice medic is really all you need to keep your Health and Action pools full in a fight. A lot of defenses can be supplemented with BE Chef foods now anyway.

If you go into a fight with no way to heal your Health and Action pools mid-fight then it will not take long for your opponents to figure out that they do not have to limit themselves to targeting your mind pool. That frees up a LOT of other options for them. If you are able to heal yourself with good stim-b's then you render 90% of your opponents combat options useless.
