Thread: Hunting Energy Resistant Night Sisters

Im currently trying to do the Singing Mountain Clan themepark and have found that my trusty T-21 doesn't even make a scratch to the Night Sister Stalker on the 2nd missions.
Apparently its only vulnerable to blast and kinetic. Due to reasons of realism, I chose rifleman and not defence stacking TKM template of the week, so I can't go up and pound her face in with the butt of my rifle. And lobing C12 grenades at her is going to be time-consuming, and downright dangerous due to the fact that as a riflewoman I DO NOT want her up close to me.

Unless you can find a pre-nerf T21 the answer is none. You are going to need help or take up another profession (probably melee) to take them on.

well due to the devs foresight when they upped resists/ham on npc's nearly a year ago (creature rebalance and CH nerf) they also slipped in the stealth nerf of making tusken rifles damage type which WAS kinetic and switched it to energy, and alsothe T-21 was originally blast damage but was deemed 2 powerful and was nerfed to energy damage and lowered damage output when the devs fixed commando back in the early days after launch.
(note - devs tried to cover up this and say that tuskens were always energy but many old-time riflemen know that that is pure bs so dont believe the cover story)
so that took away the riflemans only weapon that could have harmed the stalkers, protectors andspell weavers (nightsisters), i dunno the SMC counterparts that are resists to all rifle types but im sure there are a couple.
what you will need is a Melee to do the killing for you or pick up skills to do that yourself.

Yeah I was actually the Marksman Corr when they switched 'em and the only answer I can come up with is that it was a database error. It said Kinetic for Tusken and Acid for Spraystick on the display, but behind the scenes it was using Energy. Or it was a stealth nerf, but that just doesn't make sense to me, especially doing it without a reason. Anyways, yes, you do need a melee in a group to hunt most NS. A healer helps too.

If you do the Hutt mission in Moenia Cantina you get a Tusken King Rifle which is Kinetic Damage

contact your local BE get urself a non-ch pet and just stand there constantly healing it

if u were a cm like me i would say toss a couple of mind poisons, followed by a mind disease. the poisons will only take it down to 1, but the disease will kill it

You have to have help, no way around it. that's just the way it is, you can do the Nightsister Themepark fairly easily though. For Nightsister, I usullay end up Using my commando skills on them, i.e. euip flamethrower launch rocker, launch rocket, intimidate, warcryFlamesingle 2. then use my FD from smuggler, play dead, rinse reapeat, It's time consuming and Very expensive, but that's all I know to do if I'm alone, since None of my rifles can scratch them.
