Thread: What is Slicing??
Greetings,
Ok, i've been using rifles since day 1 and i've reached Master Scout just the other day. Now i'm working towards Master Rifleman/Creature Handler. I've read posts where they talk about "slicing" a weapon.
I guess i'm ignorant here but..what exactly is slicing? What does it do for a weapon? And what weapons are best used for a rifleman...sliced or unsliced??
Right now i'm using a modified CDEF rifle over my DLT20A becuase the speed of it is quicker..if i need more dam. i switch to the DLT20A, but only for a shot or two.
I'm looking to find a weapon that can do higher damage plus have the advantage of quick speed/shot. I hate waiting the 9+ seconds per shot.. especially when some of the creatures are quick and get to melee range before i can hit them again. Any advice would help.

Basically here is what you will get with the current state of slicing. If it succeeds, you have a 50% chance that the Damage will be raised by 12%-30%, or that the Speed will be raised by the same amount. I have no control over what stat gets modified it is picked for me. If the Slice fails that weapon is not destroyed but will NOT be able to be sliced again.
I got a spray stick last night down to a speed of 1.8.
