Thread: How much dmg is needed to notice a difference?

hey all. Well im just here to ask how much max/min dmg difference is needed on a jawa to really notice a difference in dmg in pvp. i can get a 450+ max dmg jawa or a 350. i know that 100 dmg is quite a bit, but its also ALOT more money. so can anyone tell me is it worth it? or will i only hit for like 50 more dmg poitns????

How important is the win for you? If the win is the important part, then 28% more damage is HUGE.
If your out for the fun of taking a few pot shots at your friends and who cares about the win, then it's money better spent on something else.

Its a huge difference, just rember that Jawas aren't that accurate.

the important thing to remeber with damage, is when you use specials which rifle should constantly
there is a multiplier that is used before the oponents defences come into play. Using head 3 I
think there is a 3X multiplier. Assuming you do max damage 350 times 3 is 1050 where 450 times3 is
1350. The real question is do you need an extra 300 or 400 damage. Imagine with master how much
it makes a difference, strafe2 has a 5X multiplier. Also I find that if you are at good range and prone you

In PvP that 100 difference becomes 25. Look at the average damage differences. That will be much more important.
Also don't forget how damage mitigation works. Look at the minimum damage. The spread from min to max is what is reduced by damage mitigation.
So if they have about the same min, then there probably isn't much of a difference between the two in regards to PvP.

The average damage done is (min dam + max dam) / 2
But with damage migration, that extra 100 will become more like..
( (min dam + 450)/2 ) + (min dam + 350)/2 ) / 2 = 50. Damage migration cuts that by 2/3? I do not PvP and have never bothered to look in to it, but I think I saw this number once. So that make it 33.33.
Of cause with Strafe Shot 2, that becomes 166.66 points of damage per shot.
That is just the math, you have to decide how much it is worth to you in credits.

thx for all teh replies. i went ahead and bought the jawa for 4.1mil. not master just yet so cant us eit effectivley but when i master watch out. also, min dmg isnt a prob for me because when goin up against another ranged prof i equip my stun chestpeice, switch to stun baton burstrun b4 they dizzy, then beat the snot out of em 
my main goal in pvp isnt on the defense but the offense, my templates gut some damn nice defenses but thats just for looks instead of using mitigation to my advantage and forcing other opponents to hit me for 50dmg and me shoot them for 50 id rather have both blasting at 200+. proves more fun then a duel that lasts 30+ mins. btw the stats on the jawa are 5.1 166-418 un-puped did i get ripped off at 4.1 mil? im also buying an unsliced 4.1 455 max dmg dxr for 800k

If the target has Ranged Mitigation III, then that weapon becomes 166-267. Which makes average damage 217. Reduced for PvP that becomes 54 average damage. Multiply by the special you are using then reduce for armor.

4.1 mill sounds like a good price for a 400+ damage jawa and if you don't get a damage slice on the dxr at least you didnt spend too much on it.

and so now, another question. after reading all these posts about how the dxr is the new monstrosity for pvp should i maybe sell this item to the person i was bidding against for 4mil and use all my money to buy a nice dxr6b if the one i have dosnt get a dmg slice?
