any ranged weapon can hit turrets from 71m. it's an exploit last i heard.

I'd second the Spraystick/Tusken/T21 issue. If not Acid, at least make the spraystick tangle, reflecting its role in the books. I say the T21 issue, because by all rights this gun should be back in the Blast damage catagory.


Also, is the Beam Rifle ours or the commandos? It gives Rifle XP, but I can't use it effectively as a rifleman. I'd like to see us get an Electricity gun, even if the stats aren't the greatest. That's probably asking for much since we have the widest diversity of weapon damage types so far... but I'd still like to see it happen. If not, give it to the Commandos, and have it stop giving out Rifle Xp. It's sorta like holding a carrot in front of our noses.

Yes. In this publish, turrets will fire at 80 meters. We think that will solve the problem in the interim (until we revamp the entire GCW). This is one of those weird issues from the high-end technology platform we're running on.

/sigh more reason I will push for range when the new weapon/combat balance comes...

peronsally i see the reason they are bitching about range is because if we get say, 80m...everybody would be dead before they got to us, anything past 80 or 90m requires a some what decent video card to really see, so that would be to big of an advantage

Oh, i happend to roll past a 10+ Rifleman range skill tape

That's fine till they want to nerf our speed. Then what? If I can't win that fight (if it comes) I'm getting all I can milk out of these upcoming balances such as more damage and more range to counter act anything negative that would be proposed to us.


Then again, I'll be pushing it regardless.

...yeah i know rather random but meh, we need alot of the bugs fixed before we can whine about new stuff get the old stuff taken care of, the running rifleman bug being one of those, Anything else anyone can come up with bug wise with range? if thats it for range then its the damage types on the weapons, even though every server has like 60% and up kenetic armor...from there we need the concealment tree overhaul, The skills (including surprise shot) is useless, the titles need to be reworked to reflect better on us, personally i feel we need a little more defence vs effects, because of dizzy and blind, ummm, anybody else?

Okay.. Most of this stuff has been mentioned, but I'm going to reiterate what I feel is important.


*While I do not currently have any speed worth talking about, it's the Holy Grail which gives me hope as I move toward Master Rifleman. Please do not nerf Speed!


*ConcealShot is one of my favorite abilities.. But all of a sudden, it doesn't seem to be working so good no more. I get aggroed after a couple shots, consistently, now. Maybe I just hit a string of bad luck, but it's really frustrating!


*SurpriseShot is/was an upgraded, more damage version of ConcealShot, or so I'd been told. Whether or not it requires TakeCover is irrelevant. If it actually worked, I'd be satisfied.


*TakeCover I useoccasionally, but I fail too often when I use it, and I can't say as I notice any particular difference. I still get nailed hard by STs on Corellia, and Marauders on Endor. If it works, I think it needs a boost, and if it doesn't work, it needs to be fixed. I like the idea of it removing you from the Radar until you actually attack. That would give it a more noticeable effect. Right now with it blocking such things as Maskscent, it doesn't even have a good PvE application, let alone PvP.


*HAM costs have, I've noticed, increased dramatically. It used to be I could take out, solo, a single critter on Endor with ConcealShot with only (ONLY?? HA!) 3/4ths of my Mind bar. Now when I'm grouped with others, at least one a rifleman, and I Mindshot2/Mindshot1 combo and Headshots thereafter, it still takes my entire Mind bar, and I've not even killed the critter yet. I also didn't used to be able to even deplete my Mind Bar when I popped a Grey Gabaki (which kicks my Focus from 650 to 1150) now it only slows the drop, rather than preventing it.


*Block is something I don't know that I've ever seen, unless it's the animation where I *very* occasionally roll out of the way, though I think that's more likely Dodge frommy single box of pistol from Marksman. I've never noticed Block, but I suppose I've never, before reading this thread, known what to look for. I actually try not to get hit, and usually succeed. Something a bit more frequent would be nice for those times when I *do* get hit, though.


The title issue is such a non-issue at this point, but I wouldn't mind it becoming something else, regardless. Having Hunter for both Scout and Rifleman is kinda silly. Range is also something I don't have a problem with. I've got beefs with 64 meters in general, but as far as the game is designed, it's fine. Most things don't even appear on Radar much farther out than 64m anyhow. I have definitely noticed that we don't get warped nearly so often, as well as the fact that I don't drop nearly as fast (or as often) when critters get in close to me. Kudos to the developers, and the Correspondent, for those.

Well it seems many people have issues with rifleman at the moment concerning thing ranging from pve to pvp and the attacks.


To be perfectly honest I would rather see some of the other proffessions toned down slighlty, I mean I do a lot of pvp and 9 times out of 10 what is the enemy to kill me? A TKA and why is this? Becuase he has ranged mitigation? Im sorry but that just does not make sense a guy who only fights close up can dodge bullets like someone in the Matrix and yet a person who supposedly fights long range (thats us) can not shoot over 65m.


I am not trying to upset any tka people here but come on. We need some sort of balance, I mean what do we have going for us at the moment?


1. We have high HAM costs to specials.


2. We cannot shoot over 65m away (and yet a guy can hit u from 10m away using his fists?)


3. Half the skills we gain are either deffective,useless,pointless.



They are the main three problems i see that we have. Now as i see it if they are not able to help us with these problems then why not try and help balance the playing field a bit more. We work are dam socks of to get a kill sitting there sniping away and what do other proffessions do? They run use a kd manouver and its over. The reason so many of us riflemen (women) are so upset is that it seems to us that we are the waste proffession here we do it the hard way when we are supposedly meant to be excellent shots and yet cant damage the HAM bar on an enemy sometimes.


The rifleman is supposed to be a character with inate skills of concealment where we hide from the enemy and pick it off at the right oportunity not lie down on our stomach firing round after round after round sometimes causing little to no damage.



I'm sorry if this seems like awaste of a thread but i have so many things that could be changed to make our proffession better its hard to get them all out as more and more just keep popping into ur head


Basicallywe should either recieve the things we have been lookingto get sorted or you sort the bugs with characters like a TKA dodging bulletslike Neo.



Alas we shall see..
