I don't understand why they had to change the Resource requirements so drastically. Could'nt they have just took the previous requirements and moved them to diffrent Stats?

Skeletor groggily wakes up, covered in dust and surrounded by empty Brandy bottles and cases of Muon.

"Hello, is anyone home?"

He glances fondly at his old chair in the corner. Dusts off the bowl of Muon-pretzels and takes a few bites.

"Hmm, last time I was here this place was much busier. Where are the countless Noobs on the roof? Where's the drugs? Where's the brandy? That's what being a rifleman used to be about, it used to be about the alchohol and dancers. Now I don't understand what I'm doing."

Well guys, I'm back! You may remember me from such posts as "My wrix ate my muon!". Seriously, I kind of doubt anyone remembers me, heh. I left awhile ago, although I still see that the Chipmunk and the other Pysco guy are still around.

I just re-installed yesterday, so I'll have no clue what I'm doing anymore. Apparently I have to ditch Pikeman now, I'm guessing all my once-uber pikes are useless. I hear there's some kind of "/respec" command so hopefully it's still available when I login tonight.

The one bad thing is that I've lost my claim to fame. I'm no longer the guy who forever retired with 1337 posts *sigh*.

Anyway, I'll probably be trolling these boards again, learning how to play again and figuring out all of the new rules. It feels pretty good to be back though, I missed the old hall.

Welcome back Skeletor, my fellow Rifle/Pikeman. Its good to see old schoolers back in the game.

The new game takes a while to get used to, but there are still fun aspects of it. Like PsycoJuggalo says, groups are where it is at now. The colored dificulty Icon actually means something too. If it 85 or above it will be very dificult to solo. 2 or 3 of the same level attacking you will hurt like hell. The actuall creature type doesn't matter anymore really. Most hurtons and pikets range between level 30-60 and can be easily killed or ignored, but when selecting missions they are magically set to your level. Some Bio Engineer must be running out ahead of us and creating superpikets just so we can get exp .

My pikes got burnt after 2 days of the combat update. The cool animations and area attacks are gone from pike (at least the were a few weeks ago) and those were the only reasons I was pike anyway. I tried a few different professions to go with master rifle like pistol, carbineer, squadleader, and finally ended up with BH. I like squadleader the best but my 4 man guild decided they wanted to be a bountyhunting guild and hunt together so I had to drop squad leader(dropping master rifle is not an option ever).

I hope you have fun now that you are back.

So does everyone still use the Imperial skin for the forums or did something better come along?

I haven't been in game yet, finished patching last night but the servers were all down. I'm kind of afraid since I'll be like a total noob again. I'll probably have to spend some time on the Roof of the hall until I figure out how to play again.

I think watching Star Wars gave me the itch to come back, I didn't even think the movie was that great. I tried EQ2 for a little bit and WoW and Guild Wars, but just wasn't interested so I'll see how this goes again.

So does muon gold and brandy exist still? I know nothing about drugs and food anymore. Or do we still get to watch the pertty dancers before fighting? I hear we don't even have a mind bar anymore (not like I was used to seeing it before I left anyway, it always seemed to be empty).

-No one (Not even pistols) can hit the 1 second speed cap, you would need to stack like a billion speed points.

-Best new feature about the CU, is you can use any ranged profession's Specials. So with a Rifle if you have smuggler or pistoleer you can use their specials. Worst feature is that if your a crafter/combat profession, your not gonna be all that effective in combat as a total combatant. Also stacking a melee profession with a ranged profession is pretty worthless now.

-If you get that new ROTW's expansion, you can get cybernetic arms, though you also need JTL to get to the wookie homeworld(It may still be a two for one expansion deal but don't quote me on that), you can hit 80m. 90+m with certian Heavy Weapons with AOE.

-My brian is stuck right now, but that's alot to chew on anyway, I'll give you time to process and myself time to think of new crap.

I heard there's some kind of /respec command, do you know if I'll be able to use that when I get on tonight? I'm still stuck in my old ranged/melee stacking template. And will it just let me choose any professions to respec to?
