It was kind of easy in the old days. No armor/buffs and a 2.5X melee penalty. It wasn't uncommon to get a one hit incap from Meatlumps in those days.

Espeically if you were shooting prone with MOB warping. Prone has it's own melee penalty so you could take about 5X damage from a single hit back then.

I thought you were talking about recently...yea I was a commando in the 2.5x mele penalty days...man did it hurt...

Yep.

Hitnumberone for 431, greater then half my health. His Friend hits for 390, 2 seconds later him and his friends all hit me for a full 1k in rapid succession. I only got one shot off. The server back in those days would sometimes pick up the 3 hits as tripple incap all at once. I would have run, except I didn't even know they were there, it was a lagged in spawn. This was my first ever death in this game.

Yeah back then rifle Xp was the god-dmnd hardest thig to get besides maybe investigation. You'd shoot at the critter, he'd charge, and then you had to either switch to another weapon to fight close up, or run away, peace, and come back at em.

It was very difficult. Now nothing is...

Thank you doctor buffs!!
