/sign i totally agree with this petition, I am more effective with apprentice gunfighter than i am with my rifle, the only way we rifleman are effective is in a group, but even the PvP combat is totally shot to heck due to our range limitations and melee penalties, I think the Rifle should be given an extended range and and increased damage, at the cost of rifle speed, that way it's more like a real sharpshooter. We are not made to hose our targets with lasers, just one clean quick shot.

Balance means that between two Masters, it is a toss-up as to which will win. If you average out battles between them, each should win over the other 50% of the time. If there isa discrepency, it is because one is using the strengths of his class and avoiding the weakness of his class better than his opponent. Is that true of Riflemen? NO!


Look at the balance:


Rifle High Damage vs. Low fire rate -- okay balance.


We target mindpool which is unhealable but we use mind pool, WHICH IS UNHEABLE.


We take 2.5 melee damage vs. ???????


Other professions get to target mind pool tool vs. we get to target ... oh, just mind pool.


All weapons max range is 64 meters vs. The rifle's best range is generallly less than 10 meters less than its max range.


It takes about one second for a target to move from our best range to beyond our max range vs. It takes about 3 seconds for a target to run the full 64 meter max range to engage us in melee.


WHERE IS THE BALANCE?

Well that is it for me. I have switched to Commando. I am sick to death of this lame nerfing of the Rifleman skill tree. I know Commando gets nerfed too but at least there is some indication that it has stopped at least for a while for the Commando. Leave rifleman alone. Give it more chance to do what the skill should do. Stealth and ranged death. Devs.......Pleases get a clue.

I agree, either the Devs should stop humiliating us, or just remove the rifleman class completly.

If they do that 3 second cap on rifels they better give us 3x damage and/or +150 acc monds on weapons.

I dont see how i can miss a guy with a knife at 10 feet.

The problem is not that we miss or ideal range really, the real problem is that 80% of mobs in the game are melee. and 95% of them can close in on u in 2.5 seconds.
We do need 1 shot kill attacks couse we are ususaly dead before we can make 3 hits.

Well well what else is new...guess the dev will keep nerfing us until there is no such class as rifleman or this will be some sorta sub-class...funny thing is...this speed cap is also considered a "global nerf"...heheheh...wow...lets speed up the pistol and lower the rate fer rifle....yeah i feel sooo sorry fer anyone with pistols...



The reason u spend hours and hours trying to reach master is fer the rifle speed and the devs will put a cap on this???? Buhahahahahha...what is there fer novices and elites to look for then???



If the dev put in this speed cap they better max my T21 and laser at 2000 damage...



Let me also say this, with over 90% of creatures and NPCs in SWG that are aggros, they have basically remove all possibilities and chances fer a novice riffleman tolevel through soloing....



I feel for all novice sharpeshootersout there...they will either quit the game or switch to a different proffession...
