i really hope the guy doesn't mean the lagging mobs who apparently stay at range while you are shooting but are actually 1m next to youmostly spiders in myyydril cave and rryatt trail
other than that i think its pathetic what's going on here, "look at me what i can do and you can't" ... at least it sounds that way
you obviously need to work a little harder on your observation skills lol. I.E. read through the thread again

No, he's pretty much right
The corellian destroyer, or whatever gun you're using willbe changed to not allow it's radius damage to extend beyond the should-be range, and purposefully using it to do so, much less braging about it, is pretty much the definiton of exploiting
oops

Interesting theory there. Anyone have any tac. scopes to try this with? Powerups are a tad scarce for me.
no powerups increase range
tacticals scopes currently only increase accuracy and decrease speed

Not sure if I should even reply to this but ah what the hell. Lemme ask you how I should prevent myself from extending my range through splash radius? Can I turn it off? Maybe I should just stop using the only long range aoe weapon out there, it's useful even without having the extra range and also stil useful without it dealing any damage. I honestly am very tired of people throwing around the word exploit. Escpecially people that havn't been around very long it seems.....

I know how this works ..
You can now slice weapons to add range to them
For serious?
YES you can ... I'm 100% on this ...
I have a master smuggler and have done two slices on weapons with the message...
"You have increased the range on this weapon by 10%"
This is how you get extra distance.... with a carbine which usually hits at 35m ... i can fire at 50m...
Same for rifles... above the target you still see "out of range" but you can still hit the target.
Thanks
K.
That's an increase in the "range" of damage you do. It increases the minimum damage by an amount and increases the maximum damage by an amount. The min increases by less than the maximum, which might be what they meant by "range", but who knows. It should have just been listed as "damage".
The big clue that you're obviously wrong should have been that a 10% increase on a weapon that shoots 35m should have been a range increase of 3.5m, not 15m like you claimed.
One +10 range and one +5 range cybernetic arm will let you increase that carbine from 35m to 50m though.
