Rifleman/CM seems to work good for me, although here lately ive been more support in pvp and taking down rebel turrets and stuff with the mind heals and area heals

You know what? Good job for taking the time to gind out a well thought out template BUt just because you took outa melee stacker in afew duels doesnt make itgodlike gotta learn how to use it aswell


BTW.... Mabari armor belts are NOT prenerfed they are still craftable with 0 condition and will accept AA's (dont get ripped off )The ubese shirts and bandos are the ones that are nerfed. Prenerfed bandos and shirts have 0 condition but still accept CA's The new crafted ones have condition on them but only take CA's as well


I dont even really pvp except in friendly duels simply because there is just way to many dot whores out there I dont care about rank or losing but getting a area mind poison/disease throw and he runs away doesnt even make pvp fun or worthwhile to me.

Belts take up your PSG slot and you better have a darn good defense belt to make up for it. I use 8% stun 1k condition psg's. They count as AP1 so that exceptional acklay stun baton has 50% of its damaged shaved off right away. Since it's low resist it lasts ALOT longer than a 30% resist PSG. Same applies to krayt geo pistols, etc etc. Then the damage has to contend with my stun armor as well. As for DoT whores, well even my stuff has bounced off a few people. But unless its a fire DoT, no loot weapon can touch me as long as I have my resists. The potency on those things is ridiculously low to the point that even a class A resist will bounce them.

In a nutshell it means hanging back, and hitting them from range, so that you are out of range of any lunge attacks etc.


I have just changed my template, and would like your thoughts on it.


I used to be Master Rifle/CM4004/Doc4030. As you know master rifle and CM have no melee defences, so I kept getting eaten alive by any melee worth his salt. So in a bid to get some defence against melee I have taken Master Rifle/Doc4030/Pistoleer 0044. I'll explain what this gives. I get state and poison cures, state defences +50 to KD, Dizzy, Stun and Blind. I can cure intimidate with my state cures from Doc. I get +80 melee def from pistoleer and the specials from the pistols tree. I have tested that you can get a KD dizzy using Flurry 1 or 2 in rifles and then swapping to Pistol and whapping them with Melee Def1. I tried this against a Swordsman, and it landed, I realise it takes some swapping about, but in a scrape, it should bide some time. But I would like your thoughts on this, as I wish to keep my Doc part of my template, as it comes in far too handy for state and poison/diseasecures if they land on you.

never once have I seen my 'combat channel' state: X amount of damage was absorbed (or deflected)by my PSG.


I used to wear one all the time, while I was testing different specials and weapons out.

if your having troubles with swordsman just pick up novice brawler and invest ina nice blast resist helm. imtimdate the hack out of them. Than you get burst run food and keep your distance. make sure you keep intimidate and try and WC1 them to get in and land for shots during that time.

There is a bug ( what a bug in this game? i hear you say) You need to re-equip your psg everytime you travel on a shuttle etc. If you don't you may as well be wearing a string vest.

I've never seen that message in my combat log either, but I am pretty sure it works. I've noticed some differences in damage output on my opponent when equipped with one. Especially against those pistoleers with geos.





yes if you get WC2 on your from a swordsman or your kd/dizzy unequip your weapon until you are on your feet. they get a bonu to this sort of thing.

My template couldn't get dizzy...so that was never an issue. No need for master brawler, never found it to be worth the SP.

Your template is good, but you're sacrificing a good chunk of defenses to pick up CM. Personally, I would never do CM...as I do not support chucking poisons at people. I feel cheap doing something like that...Doc is a great combo though for ANY combat profession. It is a must for pvp for all the dot whores running around. And personally, I never make a template without having brawler at least. I gotta be able to intimidate them and stick a warcry when I need to buy some quick time.
