Thread: Petition to change title for concealment branch!
...A bush thats right, I'm a bush.
Ok Psychotic is this a Tick comic book refrence from Night of a Million Zillion Ninja's or just coincidence.
If it is a refrence, I thought I was the onlyperson with any of the Tick comics.

it needs to be changed, when i see a hunter i just think scout, assassin is a good one.
carbineers already get "infiltraitor"
my vote goes for GHOST! (although they can still see us while we /takecover
I'd also like to see a name change. Don't like "Assassin" though. We aren't assassins. An assassin is someone that is hired to kill humanoids. You wouldn't "assassinate" a Durni. The correct name for the Conceal branch should actually be Sniper since it's about firing from concealment. The Sniper line is about accuracy and should be changed to reflect that. Probably Sharpshooter or Expert Riflemen for that title.
Possible name change for the Counter-Sniper line. Since this line about (supposedly) counter sniper and awareness skills. Maybe Counter-Sniper. Or you could make it more of a military type and use Spotter or maybe something like Force Recon. Not sure about the latter one though. Force Recon might belong more to a Scout or Ranger type skill maybe.
For Master level change it to Rifle Master. I think Master Riflemen is a bit bland. Every class seems to be Master (insert class here). Rifle Master is just different enough to be more interesting.

Why not. Every time I fire a special with my rifle I just about reduce my Mind by a tenth.
Frankly, once I make Master in Rifleman, I will probably not change my title from Master Scout anyway. I do not want to give them any more information than I need to. Heck, I think Master Scout is probably too much info as it is.
However, while I agree that "Infiltrator" is probably the best title for the concealment line, I believe someone correctly pointed out that Infiltrator is a carbineer title. I like the idea of "Sniper" being put on the Concealment line and Sharpshooter on the Sniping Accuracy line, but it seems a bit odd to work my way up "Sniping" accuracy to become a Sharpshooter when Sniping is the the title on another line.

Easy thing to do would be to also rename the Sniper branch something like Rifle Accuracy. Then move Snipershot to Conceal IV maybe. Or leave it where it is and rename it. It isn't really a sniper shot anyways.
I agree with you about the title useage. I never use my Riflemen titles. I use my Architect titles usually. Seems to throw people off more.

Totally agree. These are the two titles I use all the time, though mostly because putting up "Master Armorsmith" is begging to be deluged into tell-hell. ![]()

Maybe for what we are but not necessarily for the skillit represents. For some reason I see Gunner and think someone with a machine gun. Soldier is fine. Means the same thing as Infantry which is basically what we are.

Hmm, I'd say that a T21 firing StrafeShot2 at once per second is pretty darn close to a machine gun.
