Thread: Does no one want to admit the T21 NEEDS nerfing?

You need to get a better general knowledge of the game. The situation we have right now, with our "uber" T21, is ALMOST AS GOOD as that enjoyed by pistoleers 24/7.


How long did it take you to fire those 3 headshots? Unless you're a master, it took a while. Even at master, it would take 7+ seconds. In that time a pistoleer could easily have done the same or better damage, hitting for over 1000 every second,BEFORE any AP modifiers. The pistoleer could then heal all the HAM costs it took to fire those shots with a single stimpak, while you were left to sit there and wait for your mind to heal.


No, the T21 does NOT need to be nerfed.

Not to mention that the pistoleer would also be knocking the target down, preventing any return damage.

maybe if the T21 is too powerful at master rifleman, and u can kill BH's with a DLT20a... perhaps master riflemen need nerfing, not the gun?


maybe if master rifleman can shoot rifles way too fast perhaps the speed mods need to be corrected? wouldn't that add more "balance", make sure the master BH can kill u when ur using a DLT20a...

Does anyone find this disturbing that master riflemen are using a noobie rifle as their "elite" killing weapon. pretty soon i expect to see peeps saying " well my 1.0 speed 40-80 dmg CDEF rifle is so righteous i can take down Dark jedi masters in about 500 shots." IMO shouldnt the masters be using the Gun that looks like it can bust a hole in a AT-ST otherwise known as a T21??? No, instead they are using Dlt20as??? this makes no sense whatsoever that the noob rifles are better then elite rifle? i think i ll stick to my laser rifle that has AP2 over the elite rifle with Ap1????

Yes, T21 is pretty powerful, but you seem to be overlooking a few things.


Firstly, we do mind damage. That makes us almost worthless in a PvE party. Unless you are lucky enough to be in a guild that's notall powergamers (a rare thing), you almost have to solo.


Secondly, the gun sucks unless you're master. You SHOULD have powerful guns at master.


Thirdly, we're still not more powerful than any other combat class (other than caribeeners and comandos(because heavy weapons are still broken) ) in PvP. You here about 1 rifleman taking out 3 other guys, but a master in any class who has good tactics can take out 3-4 guys.


And finaly, we're riflemen for god's sakes! If in a fight you keep your enemy 50 m away from you, you should win easily.And ifthe enemy ever get's close enough to hit you, you'll often die (and in PvP, usually die).




FInally, it's just idiotic to blame this on the riflemen here.

Yes, a SMALL nerf would have been acceptable I suppose, but this was an ENORMOUS nerf. It made my T21 worse than my laser rifle.

BTW I am the one who caused the T-21 to be nerfed. Now mind you I cannot use one, well I could but I wouldnt hit a **edit** thing. But yea it was me.


As for the people bashing SilverLobo he is a very knowledgeable and skilled PVP player. Very few people can hang with the guy. Yea I am hyping him up. But you gotta call em like you see em.

does anyone find it a little fishy that this guy managed to kill five 10k HAM animals taking up 3k per hit with the HIGH HAM cost of the T21 before a bounty HUnter could kill even one. The numbers dont add up here, not to mention why would a rifleman actually WANT his rifle to be nerfed???

rofl, you're right... unless he has been heavily buffed (by a dancer, not a chef) this is absolutely impossible. Or he is a hack and disabled Mind cost. Or he is a hack and increased Wepons' damage while using only normal shots?


Last version: He got himself a GOOD set of Buffs from his Chef and doubled Focus and Willpower before attacking. Then solution 1 is: Make sure these Buffs work to comparable effect on other classes. Solution 2: Weaken those Buffs. But Keep in mind: Any other class can do the same and Regenerate Mind like hell or heal itself at hardly any mind cost. So what? Are we somewhere in the Chef Forum?

Liar, liar, pants on fire...


8000xp / 3 = 2666 2/3 avg damage per shot. With AR fixed thats roughly 1500 dmg per shot. Possible, yes, with head3 and a pre-nerf. 3 shots with a pre-nerf x about 7 seconds / shot = 21 seconds. I've killed many thousands of faction mobs and they don't sit around for 21 seconds while you're pulling head3's on them. Even if you're speed modifiers dropped you down to 5 seconds, we're still looking at the guy standing still for 15 seconds... not gonna happen.


Five 10,000 HAM mobs on Dant in 10 minutes... right. Since you're not a master we'll assume head3 again. So let's do the math. 50,000 / 1500 = 33 1/3, so 34 shots total to kill them all. With a full mind and mind secondaries you're good for about 6-7 shots... we'll say 7 for fun. As you're not master we'll just assume that that again that your 7s T21 is dropped down to 5. So 5 x 7 means that you have to regen your mind from scratch every 35 seconds. 34 / 7 - 1 = 3.8 which is the amount of mind emptying sessions you need. Regenerating a mind from empty to full takes about 5 minutes lets say (we'll assume you regen pretty fast).


So assuming you never miss (which we know isn't possible)...


7 x 5 = 35 seconds to empty via firing.
35 x 4.8 = 168 seconds to fire that many shots.
3.8 x 300 = 1140 seconds in regen time to fire thoseshots.
35 + 168 + 1140 = 1343 seconds


10 minutes x 60 seconds = 600 seconds.


So you're claiming that you could do in 600 seconds what it should take 1343 seconds to do... I don't think so!


I was even giving you the benefit of the doubt by dropping your fire time to 5 seconds for specials.


I was compared my firing time to that of a BH friend. We found some Tortur bulls on Talus, what he did in 5 seconds took me aboput 25-30 to do with a normal shot + surpress combo.


I could kill it in 2-3 shots with head3, but with how they spawn that gives you enough shots to just take out a tort bull, a normal tort, and maybe have enough left over for the ravenous tort...
