Thread: So are we getting teh low range nerf?

Accuracy or speed reductions at close range might be a better balance. And something to STRESS because the devs tend to go overboard when it comes to adjustments, is the ideal balance penalty would be one that would cause the experienced rifle person that also has pistol or carbs to consider a weapons switch when up close. Not something debilitating or something that requires rifles to pick up a close up profession, that kind of nerf just kills professions. just soemthing that would give a pistol or carbs an edge with their weapon in their range

If under 25m I missed 1 out 5 shots more often then a pistol or had my speed caped reduced to a special every 2.5 seconds instead of 2 I would probably switch to pistols because in the end either of those restrictions would make a pistol more effective in a pretty short amount of time.

In truth since it’s so easy for any ranged profession to pick up any ranged weapon and use it effectively, imbalances due to weapons isn’t actually a real issue other then perception, feel of the game and nerf cry habits from pre CU. However there should be a reason to use other types of weapons and a slight speed reduction close up is the most realistic penalty IMHO.
