Ive written a second proposal, this time for some tactical combat situations ...if you guys could take a look at it..though its not rifleman related, not directly that is.

Tactics? In this game? What, are you crazy? This is SWG, where guns are completely useless in close combat and a martial artist can never miss their target! I love the ideas Karden, and I hope they come to pass, but unless the revamp is supposed to be a major deal beyond just balance, I don't know if we'd ever see this stuff. The "wall locking" is what I would most like to see, because then actual CQB tactics could be initiated, such as a "peek and shoot"or "slicing the pie". The physique meter is a neat idea, but, I think it could be more of a detriment to the game. I'd hate to have to worry about running out of stamina just because I'd rather walk than drive. It is realistic, and I understand your reasons, but I'd just be worried about something like that taking away from the fun of the game. All of the rest of the stuff gets big thumbs up.

Hmmm..point made perhaps? Perhaps I didn't give it a correct read through the first time. Fair enough

Most of what you're seeing here is Kareden's vision of how the Rilfeman class should be plotted what. By taking his own ideas along with the feedback of other memebers of the Rifleman community, he came up with this revamp of his. As far as we know, a printed copy of the revamp is going to Summit though, so we may actually see some of this stuff in the game eventually (I hope).

a few questions/suggestions

first, it would make sense for the tusken rifle to be compatible with the sniper kit

second, will a sniper kit be required headshots/mindshots in the sniping tree or just skills which require cover?

third, will the sniper kit increase our firing range?

Im hesistant about the Tusken Rifle as it really is a very old rifle, but if more like the idea of the tusken rifle also being compatible Ill change it.

Sniperkit will be required for all abilities gained in sniper tree. Headshot2 and lower will still be compatible to assault rifles, just its damage output is way lower then h3.

Currently theres no real way to increase firing range, but the sniperkit will give us high powered, accurate shots...with a big decrease in speed.

But hey maybe someday theyll decide to increase the range for all...I hope that day will come

There are ways to make it possible handling it, for instance....Player cities, every house gets logged on your client where exactly it stands(including furniture), so it doesnt appear on you when you fly by..but you can actually see it from a far distance. Slowing down combat in movement....taking some things wich require a checkup from a server to spawn, to loggin it to your client directly. Decreasing serverload we have now by making several changes.

You know how these Devs are, if they change one small thing we will have bugs from now until SWG dies.
