Forgot to add the 50%damage gets dampened cause of ap.
If I can recall correctly it goes something like this with armor. You hit for for 100 dmg with an ap0 weapon. AP reduces that to 50dmg. Then resists kick in and take 80% of that which comes out to 40 dmg absorbed through resists. Leaving you with 10dmg total inflicted on your target.
Do that with an ap1 weapon and you can kick out the 50% penalty due to AP. Inflicting a total of 20dmg.
With an AP2 weapon you get a 25% bonus to damage. So you hit the target for 100 dmg. You get a 25% bonus to damage giving you 125dmg. Then take 80% of that and you have just hit for a whole 25dmg.
AP3 gives you 25% times 2 i.e. 50% damage bonus. So you hit for 150 dmg and after 80% due to resists you have done a whole 30 dmg.
This is currently the system we are under.
This is also why I never used a geo (ap0). The jawa still has the advantage over the geo with ap1. If your a pistoleer your best bet would be to get the cert for a Scatter pistol or a DX2. They have a high min damage and arent blocked by psg's very easily. Against another person it just doesn't matter what kind of damage you do. Your just simply going to suck.

T-21's and other AP3 weapons are not going to be nerfed...they are gonna make it so that different armours can block certain modes, and force you to make decisions, as to what armour, and or weapon you will use....
Old system.............New system
AP0....................Mode0 = No added benefit to the weapon
AP1....................Mode1 = more focused damage
AP2....................Mode2 = a more concentrated amount of damage
AP3....................Mode3 = a highy focused amount of damage
Some weapons will be able to switch from mode 0-3. some weapons will be stuck in a single mode.
Light armours will be be affective against Mode3, but vulnerable to Mode1
Heavy armours will ne affective against Mode1, but vulnerable to Mode3..
This way there will be NO one best armour that everyone uses...
And there will be NO one best weapon...

I managed to put a dent on a nightsister stalker last night, with my berserker.A T21 and a DXR-6B are helpless against those. But since the gun has no armor piercing, the floaty damage was around 77 at best. Those ladies have light armor...
Theoretically you could solo a NS stalker with a berserker, but it would take very long....20k ham, light armor, around 77 dmg per shot... Clearly for people more patient than me.
This is RM+CH with no additional combat abilities...so NS stalkers will still be a no-go without help.

hmmm I was sure they were 100% vs heat as well... let me check. Yeah they should not have been taking 77 per hit - they are 100% vs heat.... wierd

I imagine that a T21 will be Mode3 and Mode3 only after the curb. I imagine that laser rifles will be switchable between Modes 1&2, maybe even 3.
I think EVERY weapon will have a use after Curb. Some will always be more useful than others, and some will only be useful at certain skill levels. I doubt a master Rifleman, speedcapped, will ever use a spraystick very often. But who knows, Maybe the Spraystick will be the Ultimate Killer of Rebels in AssualtArmor?!?!?! lol
