I don't understand why so many people use Jawa's, just because it has stun damage?

T21's EASILY hit WAY harder then any other rifle in the game, wether the target is wearing 90% energy armor, or underwear

Its all about the one thing that no one takes into account - Armor Piercing - Jawa's have none, so basically 40% stun armor and a PSG will pretty much take even krayt jawa's down to no more then 50 dmg

T21's have heavy armor peircing so 90% pretty much goes down to around 40% and you hit way way harder then Jawa

I am sorry, but the math just does not support your assertions. First off, your statement that the Jawa has no AP is incorrect. The Jawa is AP1 (light armor piercing), so it suffers no damage reduction from armor vs. AP, just from the resists. While it is true that the T21 will get a 56% bonus to damage for heavy AP vs. light armor, a 90% resists is far more devistating than you are taking into account. So let's ignore the effects of a PSG for a minute, and just look at what gets through the armor by iteself when these two weapons go up against 40% Stun/90% Energy resist armor.

Take a typical off the shelf Jawa with damage at 126 - 232 and an off the shelf T21 with damage at 176 - 404. Give them the best damage slice you can and slap on a 16% min/33% max damage powerup and shoot Headshot3 with both weapons against 40% Stun/90% Energy Resist armor, and here is how the minimum, average, and max damage breaks down for those two weapons:

Jawa T21

Min Avg Max Min Avg Max
Unsliced:126 179 232 176 290 404
35% Damage Slice: 170 242 313 238 392 545
16%Min/33%Max PU: 197 307 417 276 500 725
Headshot3*: 888 1381 1875 1240 2252 3264
PvP Reduction:222 345 469 310 563 816
AfterArmor**:133 207 281 48 88 127

* Headshot3 damage includes the standard damage modifier of 1.5.

** After armor gives the armor and resists as follows:

Actual Damage = Damage * APBonus * (1 - Resists)

Jawa: 1 * (1 - .40) = 1 * .60 = .60

T21: 1.56 * (1 - .90) = 1.56 * .10 = .156

(E.g. for Max damage:Jawa: 469 * .60 = 281.4and T21: 816 * .156 = 127.296)

Now, add in a PSG at, say 40% to both Stun and Energy, and it woulld look like the following:

JawaT21

Min Avg Max Min Avg Max

Aganst 40% PSG: 80 124 169 45 82 119

As you can see, even including a PSG, the Jawa is still doing more damage than the T21 if the target has 40% Stun/90% Energy armor underneath.

Therefore, you cannot make blanket statements about either weapon. Do not think that just because the T21 has heavy armor piercing that it trumps all other weapons in every circumstance. Change the resists on either the armor or the PSG, and you may have a different story, but clearly, a 90% resist to damage is devistating even to the T21.
