Yep. I remember reading that you'll need Novice Medic or you'll have to be grouped with one to use the droid. real useful

I believe you need to have novice medic to use the droid, so they sound useless to me. Unless you are grouped with someone who has novice medic anda droid I suppose...
I thought it was just get someone with pharm 4 to fill it up when empty and that's all as far as skill is required. But I can sorta understand the novice medic req. After all only smugglers and BH's are able to wield the explodey droid right?

Actually, when I'm doing PvE I'm doing mostly TKM and using the Rifleman stuff for stuff my TKM can't handle. There, with TKM, I'm using Defensive Acuity anyway. So, I'm not reallytrying to stack the dodge/block, like you suggest.
The template you suggested doesn't include rifles, which is what I'm aiming for (no pun intended).

You should do Master Rifleman (obviously), Master TK, and Fencer 4-4-4-0.
Makes a hell of a fight in PVP and PVE.

Not bad. Yes, the ranged/melee defenses will stack and any defenses to status. The cap for all of these is +125 right now, but should be limited only by the sky following the CB.

For PVE, this is what I think:
My template is Master Rifleman/Master Swordsman/Master Brawler/Mediation tree in TK/novice medic.
I don't understand why you people are going TK.
Swordsman do blast damage and have armour piercing, and there are very few things a swordsman cannot solo.
I am currently a Master swordsman (the rest of my skills are a mess because I just gave up BH) and I soloed Nightsister elders and geo caves.
I was buffed, had good armour, stun protection helmet, PSG and lots of food a drinks, but I got all the way to the acklay and back no probs.
Nightsister elder took over 20 min, but I did get her down (I have novice medic and a pet, it helped, but if you are swordsman/brawler you can use intimidate to get some healing time).
I also think that swordsman is the perfect combination with rifleman because both can do really good mind-damage.
The template I have should be a killer in PVE, which is why I am currently working on rifleman

That's pretty impressive, given that it's 267 skill points..

Anyways, althought the resulting defmods wont be that good when you are rifleman/swordsman, you should be a PVE killer.
Concealshot was much as you can (or headshot if you have a tank) and once it agroes on you, swap to the powerhammer and kill it off.
you will be very good against Geocaves/NS elders and krayts, and you will be pretty helpful on the corvette.
PVP you are probably crap, but for anyone like me who pretty much doesn't do any PVP, rifleman/swordsman/brawler (remaining points novice med or TK meditation tree) is probably a good template.

Maybe I'm just an anti-status-effect whore. I hate being blinded, dizzied, I hate being KD'd, I hate kneeling (unless I'm shooting them)...just my pet peeve I guess. Especially when facing things that do all these things at once (Peko Peko albatross anyone? NS Elder anyone?). I don't see it as necessarily for PvP not to want status effects. I just don't wanna have any of them at any time

You should probably become a doctor then. Then you can just heal the status effects. Even with all the high defenses you'll still have a chance of getting hit with one of the statuses...

Hi,
This is my template, which is almost complete now. I've been PvPing successfully since mastering TK and Rifle, but i need to reduce the conditions, esp dizzy/knockdown. So i chose some pistoleer, as it reduces pretty much all the conditions.
TKM, Master Rifle, Pistoleer 0040, Medic 4000.
