Thread: Solo'ed my first krayt!

How long did it take exactly? i tried a few giant canyon Krayts with a fellow guildie rifleman and failed every time - granted it was 450k ham ish, but the problem seemed to be thatthey respawned after a while (about 30 mins ish). It took us that long to take em down to half ham....
Well done though
Took me 2hrs I think. It was damn boring but hey it was my first time. Giant Krayts have an inbuilt safety mechanism where they despawn if they wander 100m away from their spawn coordinates. The only way to keep them ingame is to keep them in continous combat. And they move around too much as well.
Interesting .. I killed a nightsister elder solo didnt peace out or anything , I just lay prone and spammed conceal shot .
Took me1 hr 30 minsto kill it and no decent loot. Something that hard should have some decent loot .
I guess rifleman is powerful for soloing big game but thats a lot of time to kill something that can be done in 1/4 the time with a decent group.
I can't believe you were able to be around a dragon that long without a group showing up!! On my server, they seem to have a timer set up or something... every time I've found one, an UBER group shows up and slaughters it within 2 min. of me finding it ![]()
It's not really wasting time if you just make a macro and then go do something else ![]()
/concealshot; /concealshot; /concealshot; /peace; /ui action toolbarSlot(whatever slot this macro is in)
Just gotta hope it doesn'tspontaneously aggro you while you're afk ![]()

I've *heard* that this will not work on a NS elder. After attacking them for a while they develop a 1 point bleed and agro.
I've soloed about 10 Elders so far and I've never experienced that bleed. I have a macro that just loops concealshot over and over. I never gain aggro.
For the record, it should only take around 10 minutes to kill an Elder. Use a T21.

But first an anecdote:
Tonight, my guild went a huntin' some Krayts! First we cleared out the whooooole canyone of littler spawns trying to get the Krayts to pop.
Then they did! HOORAY!
Then we fought a Juvenile Krayt and handily defeated it within 4 or 5 minutes (There were about 10 of us and various pets, buffed to the gills with a couple of medical profesionals on the scene, myself included.)
Then we came to the first big game of the night, a Canyon Krayt! This big guy took a little longer, but we also handed him his ass on a silver platter.
Then, the trouble started. Two fellers from The Blackhand (An Imperial guild on Eclipse), stood around as we engaged the Krayt. Then, one of them sent his two pets down into the fray and began Strafeshotting the Krayt while the 10 of us were working away on it. We finally lay that sucker out and... What's this?! We don't have Harvesting Rights! But there were 10 of us and 2 of them! Surely this must be a glitch.
We next did the same thing with another Canyon Krayt that had spawned right next to us. We started slamming the Krayt, Pistoleers, and Commandos and Bounty Hunters, and TKM's the lot of us, and wouldn't you know it, we don't get harvesting rights again. This has GOT to be an exploit, I'm thinking to myself, this guy's probablly got a multisliced rifle and a bunch of krayt segments in it on a glitch or something. No way in hell he's doing that by himself!
Well, then they engaged one by themselves. Yeah... the 2 of them and their two pets were able to easily defeat a Canyon Krayt in about 6 or 7 minutes. Those sons of **edit** were using us as meat shields while they got the credit for the kill.
What justification is there that a class that's A) Allowed to target what's typically the hardest to enhance bar B) Given weapons that have the highest class of armor penetration in the game and C) Also allowed to have good range AND speed on that same weapon?
Is this not unbalanced in someway? Can you care to explain to me how a Master Rifleman is just inherently more deserving of dealing out ungoldy damage than anyone else?
I don't want you guys to be brought down to my level. Oh no. I want a piece of what YOU'RE having. I want some of that 3k per hit through heavy armor once per second stuff. I've been abused and shat on long enough. I WANT IT. And I want it in the class that I LIKE.
"AndI want it in the class that I like!"
Well thats the problem... Not every class should be exactly alike or the game would be pretty dam boring. If you want some of this earn it and go Rifleman. If not stick with what you like and enjoy the game.
Quit bichin.
