Thread: From Novice To Master with a macro?

You tried to force your opinion of how I should derive fun from a product I paid for on me. I don't have fun killing 30,000 nunas. I'd rather let my computer do it for me (since it seems to be required) so I can then go have fun with higher level attacks.

Which wasespeciallystrange for me since I don't even know you. ![]()
And it's not verycute how you claim I 'tried to force my opinion on you'. Yes, you payed for the game. Yes, you can play it however you choose, but onlyas long as it abides by the EULA(which you agree to every single time you click the 'I Agree' button before you log into the game). Me trying to explain what that means does not qualify as 'my opinion'(I am not SOE
).
I understand your frustration with having to spend so much time killing low level creatures, but if you look at it as 'only 30,000 more nunas to the next box', then sure it's going to suck. Coming to this forum to trash me(Maybe it wasn't your intent, but it sure looks like it) is not a good way to cope though.
I didn't come here to flame you in particular, just didn't like the mis-information you were promoting. In the case of carbineers, I've been one of those too, I feel very sorry for them as they've been ignored almost completely, except when the devs decided to fix a single bug in their specials that gave them an advantage, nevermind that they have abysmal speed modifiers, and 2 half-decent specials. I like all the combat professions, but right now riflemen have it pretty good. Rifleman, TKA, and swordsman are working pretty well atm. Next comes fencer. Then pikeman and pistoleer. Commandos are at the bottom of the list, and carbineers are buried 6ft under. BH as far as combat goes work alright, I'd put them in with the fencers, they just aren't as popular due to the higher skillpoint requirements.
Since you seem to be able to use the search feature, please do so before making claims about other professions in the future, it would save you some grief and me some time

Why do you care how someone uses software they paid for? Does it hurt you when they choose to not press f5 60,000 times? So you don't support his method, he's not asking you to do it. He's asking someone to explain to him how to do it, and I explained how. So you crucify me. I'm more than happy to be a martyr if it will save people from carpal tunnel and broken keyboards.

well XJ is correct
points to paragraph 7 in the eula.

I'm all for the PvP TEF. I'm pretty much a PvE exclusive player but I do wish I could plug the AFK Advert Bots that seem popular these days. I can't walk around a busy city without seeing some AFK fresh toon yelling every 60 seconds about some jackass's shop "Just 800m from this very spot." Now if these folks actually had barker droids I'd be semi ok with it, still annoying but atleast-IMHO-its a little more acceptable and adds a little color. Sure I've got 90% of the fools on Ignore but I'd like to just vent on them.

Because they are missing the point of the game, this game does not start when you reach master elite, it starts when you get novice basic. The different planets have areas to explore, each one designed for a different degree of skill. If you just afk or atk grind to master you will find it boring, then once you have reached master you will discover that most of the content in the game is too easy for you and will complain about that.
There are plently of places on the 5 starting planets where you can go hunt an intersting variety of critters or NPCs in dungeons and caves while gaining XP, cash and loot. If somewhere is too difficult for you alone, find a partner for that area... Have fun playing the game, relish the challenge that these areas give you while they still can. Innot to long a time you will be flying up the rifleman tree and be having fun all the way.
This game is not about reaching the end as fast as posible, it is about playing your way through it and discovering all the interesting places and people that are about along the way.
[To anyone who has ever played table top RPGs, how would you GM have responded if you had said "between now and next game my fighter is going to be out in the woods killing any animal that wonders near him, i want the XP when i start next weeks game" - I know how I would respond as a GM and how most of my mates who GM would respond
