hmm... What if we would get both 1 and 3, however 3 being a heavy version would require you to both have master rifleman and master commando? Food for thought?

uuuh...I ment #1 yes...hehe /slap self. I didnt mean 2 people handling the weapon, I was implying having the certification Master Rifleman AND Master Commando

I seem to belong to the consensus: 3, then 1.
There seem to reflect at a basic level the type of sniper rifles in existence today: #3 seems to basically describe a match-grade rifle (in effect, a super-high quality hunting rifle), while #1 could be said in some way to describe the (very specialized, and just as awkward) Barret's .50 cal.
#3 would become the standard Marksman's weapon (I'll refrain from using the word sniper, even though the title "Marksman" has been used elsewhere), to use while soloing, while #1 would be more of an assault support weapon...

On the trilogy DVD of A New Hope 0:53:23 there 4th stormtrooper in the back has what it looks like a sniper rifle in his hands, does anyone have any info about that one?

Kind of hard to tell. Not even sure that is a sniper rifle. Best bet would be to see if the Essential Guide to Technology and Weapons had any pictures of the weapons and compare.
