depends on what you are doing. Competing for Loot use SS2, Faster killing use HS3

With the present state of the rifleman proffession, somtimes it's not advisable to use AOE's in the krayt graveyard.....

Strafe 2 your looking at 5-7k hits. To random pools.....
Head hit 3 your looking at 3-4k hits. to one pool.....
Overall strafe 2 decimates all specials in the current game.

Unless you have a legendary sg82 like Gdog had, you will want to use a t21. I use my dxr, but that's because it has nearly double the max damage of my t21.

unless it is more then double on average it is better to use the T21 in this case
Heavy armor = 50% damage reduction vs Medium Armor Piercing. Therefore if it is less then double on average you will be taking longer to kill them.
Juvies otoh = meat to the dxr6b

Strafe shot kills krayts alot faster than mind shot - you fellows are forgetting to include armor degrade.

You know not of which you speak. T21 = 619 max dmg. Dxr is more than twice that unpupped. Hey, I'm happy now though. I have a fanboy troller. I guess in this case though, its a fangirl.
lol ^_^ no I was just making sure that your DXR was at least 2.X times that of your T-21 or you would lose ground to a T-2. Sounds Like it is - so as you were ![]()
btw: nice dxr6 if that is the case

Bingo. a Krayt'sa rmor degrades based on total damage applied to it. If the entire party only deals mind damage, the dragons resists will just be starting to really fall when you finish the fight.
Our guld is heavy in mind focus professions, so what we do is to deal the greatest damage attack available to each of us, until the resists bottom out. It doesn't matter what bar it lands on, as long as it lands. Once that happens, we all switch to mind for the final kill. Groups with a different mix might do better to stay with body/random attacks till it's done.

It SHOULD be teh best for them. But since they have the silly rules where Armor stops most of it's effect teh answer is no. Maybe after teh CU but we don't know.

the resist on the krayt drops alot sooner and fast with strafe 2. there huge damage differentsfor anancient @ 47.5% resist rather them 95% resist.

Read my Thread on Kill Giant Canyon Krayts. Strafe Shot 2 is the way to go. You will Buckle the dragons armor once it hits about 65-70% health. WHich is pretty quick. You are hitting health alot of the time and for a much higher multiplier. Realistically with a normal Off the shelf T21.. With HS3 you will hit for about 1000-1300 Damage every second to the mind pool (After the armor stops 70% of it). WIth SS2 you will hit for about 1600-2800 every 2 seconds to the Health pool. (2 seconds being the average hit to the health pool for a speed capped Master Rifleman). And the other second you are hitting the Action AND mind aswell for the same numbers. This has been tried and tested by me LOTS of times. You will take the dragon down faster with SS2.
Get 2 master riflemen with speedcap. 2 Giant Krayts. 1 use HS3 and 1 use SS2. You will; notice for the first 30% that the HS3 Rifleman will be about 5% ahead. (Will have 5 % more damage done to the Mind pool then the SS2 would have done to the health pool). But after this. The guy using SS2 will have started to break the Krayt armor. Which means he will be hitting harder and harder with every shot. When the krayt is down to 30% health. The HS3 Krayt will be at just under 50% Mind hehe.
Test this if you like.

Read Aajax's Krayt Slaying Guide, many valid points in there.
If you cant find it, heres a brief summary.
Get some 70-80% base composite armour, you will only really need helmet, gloves, boots and helmet.
Get yourself a Damage Sliced T21, anything over 500 damage should do ok, will cost you about 250k.
Get some crates of 30%+ max damage powerups, its usually 5k for a crate of 10, get about 50ks worth.
Pick up some buffs, if you dont have any Ahrisa pick up mind buffs too, should cost about 20k.
Drink Brandy.
Go to the graveyard and find a Dragon.
I reccomend you have novice brawler for the /intimidate skill, if not, try and find a base where you can offload the Dragon's aggro onto a turret (90% Kinetic Resist).
If you have intimidate, stand infront of the Dragon and Strafe Shot 2 him, and make sure he is intimidated at all times.
If not, use the turret and run a macro at 65m, you can cook some food or do the washing while your killing it. People often place turrets around the graveyard for the sole purpose of Dragon hunting.
5-10 minutes later and your fearless enemy will be a corpse, and it is your to loot.
Have fun.
