I'm curious as to what kind of stat distribution people that wear armor use. I've done a number of tests (albeit all PvE), and I have found that I actually take more damage while wearing a suit of armor than I do without it on. I find that encumberance affects the stats which determine how much damage you take from a hit, so if the supporting stats were somewhat low to start with, I still get hit for more with the armor on than without it (and that is after the armor has absorbed some). I'm guessing that there is probally a balance point, but I haven't had the time to figure out what it is. Could anyone comment?

i bought some bone armor whe it first became all the rage- i ditched it 2 days later and am very happy, and it does pratically nothing for PvE. right now the only armor i have is chitin boots (couldn't wear the gloveswith my jacket, so they're in the bank). most of my clothes are socketed, and waiting for skill enhancers to work...

where does one find a "twi'lek grand helm"? i've not found anything other than the bone helmet that i as a twi'lek can wear on my head. i've found lots of stuff that i can't. in any case, the bone helmet gives me an extra 2 lekku as well.

4 pieces from full set of ST armor(2 Bracers, 2 Arms), started from scratch w/no bug exploit to get it. I also heard its not repairable at this time, so not going to risk wearing it while in combat, not sure about the sliced thing, first I heard of the possiblitiy of it, I'll wait for verification on that. Till then I stick to what Ihad posted above.I as well noticed I died just as quick wearing armor as to just clothes.

A quick note:

StormTrooper armor CAN be repaired. I repaired my boots last night with a simple armor repair tool. I'm not sure who started the rumpr that it could not, but IT IS repairable.

As I travel: Bone (all I have atm, in case a swooper shoots at me). When hunting just what I get from starting out as a Scout when I made my character. I'm human so my willpower is maxed to 500 but mind/head shots are fair usage and careful management I can even be effective WITH the bone armour (I really need to find better, but I'm poor right now). It would be nice if I can find a tailor that doesn't charge a ton for good buff clothing. I can't even find shades right now
