The devs messed it up and made it a pistol that shoots acid with a rifle cert. Now you know why peeps still think we are in beta testing.
You are correct Fred, it is supposed to be a meter long. They did get the actual shape of it right, just the wrong size. Here is some information on it.
The Stokhli Spray Sticks are named after the Srokhli nomads of the planet Manress, which the nomads developed for capturing and subduing large animals during hunting expeditions. The weapon is a thin meter-long metal tube that weighs only four kilograms, and when fired the weapon emits a sharp hiss and has a considerable kickback. Then a thin translucent mist spirals out of the nozzels at high speed. The mist once exposed to the cooling air turns to a liquid and then into a solid cylindrical net as it spins. The weapon has an optimum range of 100 meters and a maximum range of 200 meters. The net wraps around the target then devilvers a powerful electrical stun charge, and tremendous strength is needed to rip free of the netting. The spraymist solution is manufactured exclusively by the Stokhli people and is highly resitant to most solvents and vibroblades, although it decats naturally over the course of several hours. Even lightsabers aren't much good against the netting. The Stokhli Spray Stick has a hefty price tag of fourteen thousand credits and are very difficult to find off Manress
You can find this information at http://www.galacticholonet.com/Weapons/Stokhli_Spray_Stick.html there is also a picture here.
They didn't just get the shape wrong..its firing out of the wrong part...one of those things you'd think would be a no brainer..
I think the Dev that coded the Spraystick made the same mistake NASA did. They didn't convert size. They probably saw it was suppose to be 1m and made it 1 foot instead.
As for why a "Swordsman" hasa powerhammer. A number of professions are misnamed. Commandos aren't Commandos. They are have weapon specialists.
Swordsmen should really be called Two Handed Melee Weapon specialists and Fencers would be One Handed Melee Weapon specialits.
It's just that those names don't sound as "cool" as Commando, Swordsman, or Fencer.
Spraystick was supposed to be our "acid rifle" but got nerfed like the tusken rifles into energy. For non masters its the best thing to use to take down lairs. Get a damage slice instead of speed sliced if possible. Tusken king rifle is still kinetic...but there is no cert for it and you'll always get that message telling you so. Would be nice though considering nightsister elders are pretty much 100% resist to all but kinetic. Beserker and DXR-6B are both slug throwers but still no kinetic damage.
According to lore a "blaster" is a weapon that fires energy excited gaseous particle through a electromagnetic core. So if you strap some jumper cables and round magnets with holes to your butt you might get the same effect when you pass gas. I wouldn't try it though as jumper cables might leave permanent physical..and psychological marks ![]()
Devs messed up and nerfed alot of weapons in the game. I'm still wondering why the E-11 rifle and carbine have such a high delay and low damage. They were the most advanced blaster of the time and coveted by Imperial AND rebels (when they could get their hands on them). Wonder if they'll ever change T21's back to blast damage?

im 99% sure tusken rifles do kinetic dmg....
The problem isn't the speed. It's that there is no cert for it. So you only do about 10% damage with it.

it's the Tuskan kings rifle it is kinetic but has a speed of 12(woohoo)
But would that really matter for a master rifleman? Can't you get that to like what 3-4? I know that is still slow for a riflemen but I don't know much

When I first bought one I exmained it and went, oh sweet, a shotgun! Visions of me turning those pesty critters outside Theed into goo brought a smile to my scaly lips. Then once epited there was a moment of silance before the quest arose.
Why am I carrying a toothbrush to a gun fight?
PS
Why can we carry hundreds of tons of metals and ores around? I've had a packful full of 100k stacks, and he seems to be walking fine..... =)
