I recently created a Rifleman\Swordsman...I'm only an novice in each atm (well..a few boxes filled in each), but I gotta say they do very well together in PvP and PvE. I was in Anchorhead the other day on the hill HS'ing Imperials who were raiding and one noticed me (had no title...i believe he was TK though)...started running towards me...fired off a HS and when he got close I pulled out the power hammer and down he went...he actually stopped for a second when he saw me pull out the hammer....imagine his surprise.

Rifle/Doc here.. pretty good template for me because of the buffed stats and the big self heals.. very good in PvP and pretty good in PvE...

I'm thinking of going Master Rifle, TKM, Marksman 4004, fencer 4000 and of course novice medic.

Any comments?


The fencer will go towards master marksman or master brawler depending how the nerf goes....

Though when I was a BH back in August the correspondent was in no doubt that eyeshot was moving to master...

Fencer 0/4/0/0


Brawler 4/4/0/0


Marksman 4/0/0/1


Novice medic lets me do some basic healing, a life saver in battle, and novice scout lets me make camps to call out my vehicles. Considering dropping that one and getting some more fencer for the defenses. Melee and Ranged Mitigation 3, plus+60 defense vs. KD.

As soon as the the new combat system is out i will either go rifle/CM or Rifle/TK/Master brawler


pretty sure that dizzy+20meter lung2+warcry2 will be a very good combo.


If the gonna srew it up im gonna continue hologrinding proffs.

Dodge/counterattack/block has already been changed, you have to equip a weapon that has those modifiers in its trees to get the bonuses. i.e. a master rifleman/master pikeman with either weapon equipped will get both professions block bonuses, but if that template also has some pistoleer, you would have to equip a pistol to get the dodge bonuses.. As for stacking melee/ranged defenses, if they nerfed this it would be the end of meaningful pvsp. Think about it, a master rifleman/masterweaponsmith would be just as powerful at long rangeas a master rifleman/tkm/fencer 4000, a template devoted entirely to combat. I wouldn't be surprised if the devs did decide to do this just to stop the nerf cries though, not that that would put an end to them.

Here's my template/build


Master Marksman
Master of the sharpshooting variety
Underworld 4 (just started working on getting that) to be able to keep your slices and spices, plus I wanted to be a slicer
Master politician (working on it now but don't want to waste skill points until necessary)


Pointless? Yes. Fun? Sorta. Deadliest warmaster on my server? Checkthe sig.
