I don't agree as well... what you're asking for is way short cited.


Who cares how hard the road is when the rewards at the end of the path are worth it.


I'd rather riflemen had a hard time progressing (I'm suffering right now) as it keeps dabblers from just picking the best parts of our field and running.... as it is now, only the truly dedicated will be riflemen.


Making skills too available to dabblers is what causes the nerf stick to come by... so my vote - training for master rifleman is a tough and dirty road... leave it as it is.

I've heard a few people talking about this "Rifleman Dabbler" character a lot lately. And to be honest, I have yet to meet one. Seriously. The honest truth is that Rifleman sucks too badly to earn any dabblers right now. It's too inter-dependant. But let's assume for a moment that the fabled "Rifleman Dabbler" does exist.

Currently, the Rifle Speed modifiers are earned by spending Combat XP. Ironicly, this the ONE Rifle tree that never requires you to USE a Rifle to earn. A Pistoleer or Carbineer or Smuggler could make it to Novice Rifleman, then rack up the Combat XP with a much easier gun. He could then turn around and use that XP to buy Rifle Speed. At least with my system, you have to USE A RIFLE to get Rifle Speed.

Another point is why not just stop at HS2? That is our best mind damage attack. Or you can go up to mindshot 2 and you have the same level of specials as a master for damaging mind.

I dont think the pools should be changed... I am specifically making a guy because it DOES use mind pool points. As well as Im sure a LOT of other people.

I think there is some confusion here...


What Aden stated was not that Rifleman should get the TOP speed of a Master quickly.


Just the token speed bonus of that tree. Combat XP will still have to be completed to get to master.


And I am not a Dabbler. I am working towards Master and trying to make our class better. Why wouldn't I?

Joy, exactly. I hardly think that 1,225,000 Rifle XP is dabbling. It'd only be Rifle Speed +10 per level. And if you want to knock it down a little more, make it +5, +10, +5, +10 and just add an extra +10 to Master Rifleman, so Master Rifleman is unchanged yet the people leveling up get some bonus. That would also require the dabblers to go at least TWO skills up to get a decent bonus.

Well, teleporting MOBs hurt everyone, and it will always be around a little bit due to lag. Don't get me wrong. . . it'd be **edit** nice if they could fix it. Heh.

Sounds good, but I'd also add a long look at the way armor piercing is handled, because I think that's the root of the mathematical problems that have been cropping up.
