Thread: PETITION: Simple Rifleman Fix (Needs Dev Attention PLEASE)
I don't agree as well... what you're asking for is way short cited.
Who cares how hard the road is when the rewards at the end of the path are worth it.
I'd rather riflemen had a hard time progressing (I'm suffering right now) as it keeps dabblers from just picking the best parts of our field and running.... as it is now, only the truly dedicated will be riflemen.
Making skills too available to dabblers is what causes the nerf stick to come by... so my vote - training for master rifleman is a tough and dirty road... leave it as it is.

Currently, the Rifle Speed modifiers are earned by spending Combat XP. Ironicly, this the ONE Rifle tree that never requires you to USE a Rifle to earn. A Pistoleer or Carbineer or Smuggler could make it to Novice Rifleman, then rack up the Combat XP with a much easier gun. He could then turn around and use that XP to buy Rifle Speed. At least with my system, you have to USE A RIFLE to get Rifle Speed.
I think there is some confusion here...
What Aden stated was not that Rifleman should get the TOP speed of a Master quickly.
Just the token speed bonus of that tree. Combat XP will still have to be completed to get to master.
And I am not a Dabbler. I am working towards Master and trying to make our class better. Why wouldn't I?
