Yeah, I remember back in the day when it took me a few months to master rifleman....

I was of afraid of any creature attacking me because every creature hit 2.5 times harder than it does now...

I couldn't wear armor because I couldn't afford any and it was too encumbering on my mind...

My stats weren't migrated in my mind's favor because I didn't know any better...

I never used powerups on my Fiku 4.1s 60-420 laser rifle...

I never used food....rarely had enough muon to fix me for a day...and wasn't addicted to it...

I never had another profession to help me out aside from pistols IV and my handy fwg5 where I would spam suppression fire and warning shot while running like hell from a squill, baznitch, or whatever could kill me in one hit because of the melee modifier...

I had to walk through three feet of snowacross the hills of Lok to get to those kimos....

The thing that made it hard as hell to level back then was all the bugs in the game. Mobs warping 80 meters, concealshot not doing a damn thing, chefs were buggy, plus the 2.5x modifier was all that made us impossible. Now warping is 99% gone, conceal is actually useful for novices, we are bugged to actually have some of the best melee defense, and chefs are useful.

Besides why screw over everyone just because we are old and grizzled, they just have to sit on kiddy stools while we get the leather chairs and lumbar support over in the rifleman hall.

The bad ole days were only good for about the few days we could get good T21's. Other than that you looked at a month long grind to master atleast. Hell I htink it took me 2 or 3 cant remember(your memory is the first thing to go. Anyways that was back in a time when a Master Shaprshooter was respected and not skoofed at because his beloved profession became FOTM.

Whats funny is the carbineers. They have posts on why they are not going to be the next FOTM. I used to have sympathy for them, but have noticed a good number of them have joined the pistoleers in asking for a speed nerf.

If you call for the nerf may FOTM status be brought upon your profession!(My curse)
