Thread: most effective rifle

I have a great T21 (448 dps for me, the best I've seen.)so I guess I'm set for assault guys, I guess I need to get a Falaan then for others. But why is the Falaan so damn expensive? The cheapest I've seen is 750k. Are they just rare? Are they a looted weapon that can't be crafted? Or if they canbe craftedthen why are there only a handful on the bazaar? Also for energy rifles, the only thing better than my T21 that I've seen is the Trando hunting rifle, and those go for at least 3 million. Ridiculous, the inflation is out of control and unrealistic.
The Fallan rifle cannot currently be crafted. It's a quest reward weapon. So that's why it's so expensive. As of patch 19 Trandos are craftable, but they require a looted schematic and special looted barrels to make. And if you're going to the trouble of getting the schematic and the barrels to craft a Trando, there's no reason not to get the best krayt tissues you can as well. So that's why Trandos are still expensive too. Afaik, the only standard craftable kinetic rifle is the Tusken, but that's only CL40, which hurts it's damage output.
Slim Vargo, Corbantis
Just to help you guys out...
T21's, ALR's, crafted Trando Rifles, Heavy lightning beam cannon's....
All of your top crafted rifles have basically the same stats given the same quality resources. The HLC has slightly lower max damage but makes up for it in elemental damage but for all intents and purposes all of these rifles have the exact same potential.
There are two main reasons that the ALR's are currently a favorite weapon. 1st reason is that it is certed at CL54, there are no other requirements to use it, and it is competative with any other high quality rifle. The 2nd is that the ALR uses pretty basic/generic resources for crafting so it's significantly easier to get high stats on an ALR than it is on say a T21 which requires a significant amount of very specific and rare resources make it cost a lot more to craft for basically the same stats, not to mention a T21 actually requires more krayt tissues to craft as well.
T21 - Master Rifleman cert
ALR - CL54 cert
Trando - not 100% sure
HLC - Master Bounty Hunter cert
I believe the trando rifle is MBH certed but can't verify that at the moment. But this should help give you some idea of why the ALR is considered one of the top weapons, more people can use it and they all have top stats. Only reason really to use one over another is for the looks, the HLC is the only one that really has the benefit of something different (elemental damage).
Where does this Fallan Hyper Rifle come from? Never heard of it. (not currently rifleperson myself, but exploring the idea)
Crafted Trando rifle is un-certed
justbought one on Chim with the following stats
2.75 sp
483-1088
31% wound
DPS 290
SAC 85
similar to low sac crafted ALR's/T21's and when sliced & pup'd will end up a nice gun
not sure of the tissues that went into this if any , but for a couple of mill i'm happy with it

If you're an MBH then you gotta get your hands on the new Heavy Lightning Rifle. Best damage output, with equal SAC and speed ratings to the other top-line rifles. If you're not an MBH then getting ahold of the crafted (not looted) Trandoshan Hunting Rifle is a nice choice.
best damage output on the heavy lightning rifle? can i see a screenie that shows a really good one because as far as i've seen all the heavy lightning rifles are worse than my t21 and adv laser rifle.
Grozzer Agoutt
Kauri
Grozzer has a really nice T-21 but I will take my Bowcaster any day, hehe.
I'm concerned though with the Trando rifle becoming a Trando species required weapon. Like a few other weapons who's names I don't remember, the Trando rifle stats say Species requirement - possilbly meaning that they are still deciding what species are allowed to use it, so it may soon be changed to a Trando only weapon, making it useless to humans like myself. So I'm not going to buy one. UnlessI loot one or get a cheapprice for one I'm going to stay with my ALR and T21. Falaan's are still too expensive. I will never buy a weapon that costs more than 100k, and that's partly out of principle.
