How do you change your radar? I have seen people mention this but have never quite found it.

On the corners of your radar should be a plus ( + ) and minus ( - ) sign if I remember right. Just click them.
(I'm at work so going from memory here)

Barb...

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you're maybe a...ummm...Type A personality?

I have to admire what you did... and have certainly benefitted from you sharing your experiences.. Thanks.

That said, I personally can't go at that rate and keep playing this game. I'm afraid my remaining 4.5 trees are going to be a rather long grind. Two xp caps a buff session is all I can handle before I feel the need to go watch Sponge Bob with my son and let my mouse stop smouldering. Some nights only one cap per buff beforeennui takes over.

Actually, I cool down a lot of times by running errands after capping. Fixing the bikes and the AV-21... looking for new armor and weapons... even slicing some. And I think I went against the mainstream and passed on JTL. Don't have enought hours in a day as is. Will probably get it at some point if I keep going, though.

lol i dont think i am hehe.

i just see so much disinformation on using exploits to level as a preferred means (geo cave spawns) that i really want to show there are better faster ways to do this without exploiting.

but maybe i am a partial type A. dunno but i really am more of a casual type in that when i dont have a concrete goal that is forced on my by circumstances of time i generally dont go all out. JTL and getting shipwright on a character that is not my jedi was my motivating factor. even if you apply these methods to casual grind think of how it will benefit those that only want to cap XP once a day or every other day. those with commitments outside the game. they can spend an hour a day and still make jedi in 18 weeks through pure casual play. leaving tons of time to do other things.

im not trying to convince you to go all out you dont have to. thats the beuty of it all you can apply the same methods of powergrinding to normal gameplay and decrease the ammount of time you spend doing unpleasent things leveling your FS skills.

every grind i do in leveling whatever skill are all capable of being duplicated and applied by non-powergamers using pure casual play and still maximize your efforts with full benefit according to your playstyle. if you dont want to do XP run after XP just bypasss the kill everything on the radar part or instead milk the lairs and harvest the beasts. but doing that you must realize that the times i put up for XP runs will extend greatly the further you stray from the method.

thats like right now all my main goals are done. i am a Dark Jedi andmy second character is master shipwright the day i got the expansion. i feel no need to grind out Jedi it may take me months or even sometime next year dunno. but im not going to powergrind it since there is no real benefit that i can see in doing so. same with pilot. the only reason i went to such lengths power grinding out the FS trees and trying to come up with efficient grind methods was to be shipwright master on expansion day.

now i can do what i REALLY wanted to do since SWG launched be a pilot and be a jedi. everything else was a roadblock to those goals. i thoroughly enjoyed rifles and CH both skills will always hold a special place for me. it will still be a while before i am forced to drop rifles foreverand that like the day i dropped CH will be a sad one indeed.

i just hope that me telling of my experiences will help some noob rifle person somewhere. even if they say im all wrong and go do their own thing.maybe my expose' gives them inspiration to do it their way.

/shrug who knows. i just like to ramble when i get time to type.

when you get jedi paddywacker status you get a second character slot on the same server on the same account. this character is the one i made shipwright.

i had been collecting grind resources for two months as well.

Yes, but on the same day you got the expansion? Master SW in one day? Huh?

yeah only takes about 1.5-2 hours to do the actual XP it takes a LOT longer to gather the required 5.6million resources...

on a tier4 ship hull its 21000 xp per combine.
