Ok, for one thing, armor piercing isn't working right, and i have a non krayt dx2 and i hardly miss, bodyshot 3 is fixed, Oh, Wait **edit** lets not forget stoping shot, or fan shot! if you want whoring, just TRY those 2 god forsaken specials, stoping shot were talking a thousand + damage from a **edit**ty scout blaster. Thats raises the bull-**edit** flag right there. and your bitching about the same thing were bitching about as for krayt tissue, Try getting 11 of them for a t21 and only getting a bonus for 1. You have no place to whine about things you do NOT know. Try working up the rifle tree as far as most of us have, THEN you can whine. But you wont be whineing about pistols

I hate to say it... but a week ago, I got a pistol too.

I have master marksman, so I picked up a pretty good FWG5.

It fires pretty darn fast, is really accurate, and does a pretty sweet amount of damage. When attacking random pools with my T21, I'd switch over to the FWG5 to lay on a health shot.

Now, when it even looks like something is approaching melee range, you'll find me pre-emptively hitting my pistol macro. With that thing equipped I've managed to survive many attacks that would have spelled instant doom.

An example... I was on Endor using a pet and my T21 to kill Mantrieg Screechers. These are red con AR3 mobs that will kill a rifleman in 1 hit easy. Once came charging at me so I switched to the FWG5, hit peace, then told my pet to attack it. It took almost 7 second for my pet to run over, attack, and draw the mob to it. What happenned to me? Nothing! When the pet attacked, I walked away, switched back to the T21 and continued attacking... try doing that without a pistol!

In contrast, I was a Master Mark and decided to leave the carbine and Pistol trees. I would have been better off keeping the pistol boxes, however. Carbine was a lot like "little rifle". Only the pistol and my 2-handed sword seems to really finish a critter. If it cons blue to a rifle, maybe (if I hit... funny, those words never seem to apply to my "fog" 5).

Deeper here, after using so many weapons but really WANTING rifle to be viable I have noticed that it seemed that the range modifiers at short range on a pistol (I have about as many different types of both rifle and pistol as there are in the game) seems to also apply to the long rangestat as wellin actual combat, dispite what it says in the weapons info window (was I just imagining that?).

I've come back to rifle, not because it's better (I really thought hard about going pistol/ch, stopping short of giving up any ranger skill points) but I want to see this thing through. I will have to go only up the sniper and support/speed trees (accuracy and speed being the targets for now) untill I can feel it is safe to give up my sword (it CERTAINLY is not currently). I'm dabbleing in CH to get some non-ch usable pets in case themelee defense is never fixed. HOWEVER; the bottom line is that I too will not be staying here if this class still gets no love. Personally I think the pistols are bugged, not needing a nerf but needing some carefull look-sees and I bet they find an error that allowed accracy toexceeding design.

Sometimes I log chat and I had a run of 3 days were I missed 2 in 5 on my rifle (steady set-up and prone) and never missed with my pistol (standing and sometimes running). This was after the movement accuracypatch.

It would suck mightily for me to drop Rifle tho, I had to work so d*mn hard to get anywhere in it.

I think there should be 4 types of accuracy mods related to movement. Target and shooter both fixed, Target moving shooter fixed, Shooter moving target fixed and both moving. The more advanced paper and pencil RPG's do it this way.

1) Yes Pistol is easy to level. So would rifle be though if they moved non mind attacks to draw action. If they did i know where i could hit master Rifleman in a week.

2) Krayt FW suck balls you guys dont know what your talking about.. Whippy +30 damage and oh wait -speed oh wait i already hit speed cap. lets see i get 30+ damage to hit.. Random pool! or sit and use my Marksman 2 body shot because its better than body shot 3. I use krayt Dx2 which took 4 tissues yet only takes bonus from 1 handle. and ideal range is 8.. so guess what? YUP I cant hit a thing at 60+ meters But i have to use it because its my only armor piercing gun, So basicly I can use ohh super uber Kryat FW in PVP but oh wait target has armor and heat resist.. well look at my awesome krayt pop gun! Its useless against anyone who has a clue in PVP

I picked up a pistol 2 days ago... after just a bit of playing with it I got to pistoleer.

Today I dropped it...

**edit** life was just too easy with it. I felt cheated with it.. All I had to do was spam kip-up shot or bs2 and nothing could stop me.

I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment, but I went back to my 2 handed sword and rifle....

A friend of mine is a Novice Weaponsmith and he made me an axe. For the fun of it I went to try it even though i'm not even trained in brawler. After a few seconds i realized had I been using one of my rifles I would already be dead.

I have been using a pistol too of late. They're so, so superior to Rifles its a joke. Im hitting very accurately at 40-50m and I only have Pistol 3, Im not getting killed as often, Im not killing myself using specials. Something needs to be done to even the score.

Rifleman gets AEs.. and that's the end to pistol superiority. Till then, yes pistol is easier.. after that it's painfully slow exp wise to a good rifleman by comparison.

I am a master Marksman. When I started the game, I had no idea what I wanted to be. I chose rifleman because I felt it would compliment Squad Leader perfectly, and it does.

They are both broke.
