Strafeshot2 is the best rifleman attack, and it makes it worthy to get amster. So leave it alone.

Our most damaging attack is surprise shot and it is a single target attack. It has exactly the same damage multiplier as strafe2. Currently for me it functions as an anytime attack and is not limited to in cover.

I agree with the statements above, alot of the functionality of the rifleman is our ability to act as a machine gunner for a group, or a single sniper when alone. I do not want to lose either.

I am opposed to giving up our AOE attacks, espically the most damaging one, for a much less utilitarian attack.

Remember that while we can get the title Sniper, we can also get the title Gunner.

If you want to work well in a group, go AOE. you want equal or better exp in a group, go AOE. You want to solo, use mind attacks. Do not make chages to the class that make us less viable, less fun, and less flexable.

Quick question about AoE, how does it affect accuracy? Will you have a better chance of hitting something

with an area attack than with a single? Or does it simply make multiple single attacks at the same time?

With regards to the original post, I agree... I can't begin to fathom why people don't like the AoE's. Personally, I would like to see surprise shot or a surprise2 addition at master level meet the desire for folks to have a high damage single target shot. In my experience, surprise does consistently less damage than strafe2. I'd be all for it having a slightly higher damage multiplier than strafe2, since it is supposed to only work from cover...

I also think it would be nice for HAM costs on all non-AoE's to be reduced by 20-40%, and have the AoE's stay where they are. I think this would improve the "sniping" side of rifleman without damaging the "gunner" side, and I personally don't think it would throw us out of balance with other ranged classes... But, maybe I am a bit biased.

I think the question should have been changed...

Original: Make Strafe2 non-AoE but more powerful
Proposed: Make snipershotdo highdamage

You know, snipershot used to do tons of damage in beta. It was a Rifleman's most powerful attack and could only hit one target.

When I first got snipershot, one of my friends (he as in beta) asked me to use it on him so he could see how much damage it does on live... I did and it did 50 damage...he laughed at me

AOE shots are the single saving grace for this class .

The PVP crowd need to get used to the idea that you arenever going to be given non-radar status . You are never again going to be the one shot invisible Sniper supreme killers we were before the 75% so get over it already .

In PVE , AOE's are the only shots worth firing . Anything else is a waste ofHam . As well as piling up the exp if you still need it , it's our only way of making decent money - ie well over a Mill a week playing 3 hours daily . Try doing that with single target shots .

Ican only agree in this matter. Leave the AOE shots where they are, one of the main reasons to go master rifleman. Try to work to balance this class towards a full master rifleman, not because some people are having problems in leveling up.
