not true i was fighting one today 100% reistant to all but kinetic and blast which were at 5% and lightsaber. 100% resists don't let a single point hit do they?
NS Elders are heavy armour 100% resists to ALL BUT energy and blast which are at 25%...... so it was not an elder you were looking at!!

The other day I logged on, buffed up in C-net and headed to Dath. for a little XP grinding. Being a Master Rifleman, Master Ranger I started out of the Science Outpost on foot, eager to slaughter some unsuspecting MOB's. I get no further than 200m from the Outpost when a NS Stalker spawns 32m in front of me and of course she instantly aggro's me. Not knowing exactly what a NS Stalker's stats were I clutched my trusty T21 and (while running in the opposite directioin) HS3 her like there's no tomorrow. I watched in amazement as her HAM bar didn't budge one bit. Running like a scared 10 year old girl I shriek, "Ok you want to play that way huh?" I switch to my Disruptor and once again proceed to spam HS3...still nothing. I turn around and look for the nearest vertical wall to take advantage of my MR's terrain negotiation when she instantly incaps and slays me.
A nice new buff down the drain, but I'm much wiser for the experience.

The other day a NS stalker kicked me off my swoop and disabled it. Took me ages to bleed him to 1 mind point with my T-21 and DXR-6b using mindshot 1 and 2, and running up close and personal to punch that 1 point out of his body. Without novice brawler that is...
I just wanted to have some revenge, not recommendable for loot hunting, though - too time consuming.

(i am only a rifleman) whats the point. i'd do better even without any novice brawler or hand to had with my bare fists! stupid, i only hope the CU will change this
Elders are not 100% resist vs energy
follow this link clicky here
the top of that thread is a faq on hunting NightSister Elders

Best bet is probably a pikeman/rifleman. Personally, I like them better because you get kinetic from pikes and everything else from rifles. You don't get any blast, but the block from pikeman and rifleman stack, so you will have an easier time tanking NS. Especially if you put the rest of your sp into medic.
