• Tuskens - The Tusken King, Executioner, and other high end guys will drop decent dot rifles from time to tim


• Jawas - Way back when the game first came out some unreal jawas were looted from regular Jawas on Tatooine including some with nice dots, but I haven't seen any posts regarding good Jawas dropping decent rifles in aover a year


• Krayt Dragons - Krayt dragons occasionally swallow weapons and when they cough them up, they are almost always Legendary and many have had great dots. Be prepared to kill a lot of krayts though before you get one as only a few have dropped per server out of a ton of dead krayts.


• Marauders - Endor has Marauders which have dropped a small amount of nice dots


• Nym's - Lok Nym's guardshave been known todrop decent dot weapons from time to time.


• Nightsisters - By far the best looted dot rifles that I've ever seen have been from Nightsisters. The drop rates are terrible - only a handful per server have been looted with thousands of Nightsister deaths per month.

Regarding DOTs in PVP, of course they're powerful/useful - you either have to spend skill points to combat them, you have to spend skill points touse them, you have to have a doc attached to your hip at all times to combat them, or you are lucky/rich enough to ownthem. I sometimesrun with a guy that has a mind fire that ticks for over 700 per tick. He fights unbuffed and wipes entire crews of PVP'ers with a few clone zergs - it's ugly, but he still comes out ahead in faction points if he chooses to suicide run into the middle of your crew and start area attacking. Sure having 4030 doc can counteract DOTs, but you can't attack while you'rehealing and it costs you 109 skill points and sure a combat medic can throw nice dots, but that requires spending 169 skill points and reduces your defenses to next to nothing. Who wants to spend 169 skill points when you can get the same benefits with a knife that takes novice brawler to use or a rifle that takes 0 skill points because it's your primary offense already?

I have dots and I use them them because others have them and they use them. I also can't wait till they are nerfed to oblivion. I hope they make it so that the millions I've spent on dot weapons become useless. I also wish they'd quit giving out ridiculous legendary loot drops. If they want any sort of balance in PVP, they need to make it so that those of us who have the credits to purchase the gear to win don't have an unfair advantage over those who don't.

Stop giving the dude crap

Its awesome to have an array of weapons choose from.

I may not agree with DOTS in the game , but as long as they are they will be used against you , so its good to have them

They are also usefull if yoyu fly in solo overt somewhere and come across a group you will no be able to take. Lay a nice DOT on the and run.

You get jumped by 2-3 people in a starport. Now depending on your skills and thier skill you may just be able to kill them. A great dot can bring you up to par with that many people and in this state of the game are almost nescesary against super melee stackers

heh yah my buddy has some 309 venom Cthat go on after a nice 204 venom B and my 673 mind poison we got a 2400 mind tick on a group. Talk about the quickest 20v20 battle i'd ever seen rofl.
