arnt they complaining that they r less powerfull now? Actually they're much more powerful than they used to be. Heck their lightsabers used to be kinetic for gods sake. Yeah you usually need one in the gank squad to take on some of the finished template Jedi unless you broughta pair of melee defense stackers. That still doesn't address the reasons why melee are still so successful against them while ranged are completely ineffectual.
what about BH's? esp. the one's that hunt the weaker jedi(the ones who just barely have novice saber) that come with a pack of rifleman, hang 64m from your front door and wait for you to poke your head out? thats not fun.... Neither is staking out the house. That statement is bogus. Its like comparing a novice rifleman who's got a TEF from doing faction missions then having an overtmaster pistoleer gank him and saying its unfair. Its a risk you take when you follow the path of Jedi just like its a risk you take when doing faction missions or going overt. If you cant deal with it then dont be a Jedi.
and of coarse jedi get a bonus to hit!!! They're friggin Jedi!!! What bonus to hit? You mean the one that ALL melee get against us? Thought it applied to all ranged but oh well.
I got no problem with saberblock at 85%. It matches the continuity of Star Wars. I do have a problem with a melee to ranged "to hit" modifier in a futuristic setting with energy and projectile weapons. Weapons thats caused the melee professions to become non-viable or "restricted situational" in a modern battlefield.
Wouldn't mind seeing the scatter pistol actually scatter or the radius effect of the EE3 actually work. ![]()

SMG's and pistols are special issue. Most soldiers don't switch to those in those situations because they simply don't have them. How many SMG's or pistols are issued to the typical infantry squad? The answer is zero.
Remember that SWAT teams do use rifles and full sized shotguns in the entry teams. So weapons of that bulk are used.
The trick to using an assault rifle in CQB is to have it on full auto and being good at snap firing or having an aimdot type site. In CQB you don't aim with a rifle. You point and shoot usually. The other trick is the liberal use of grenades.

At close quarters you point and shoot or use the rifle as a melee weapon THEN shoot them again. Soliders use sub-machine guns or pistols for indoors CQB when it is expected. If you have to draw a weapon for CQB more than likely you're a dead man since it takes to long. Even full sized rifles can be handled in CQB with the proper training. And being a MASTER Rifleman you'd think we'd have that training. You dont drop your mossberg after you've breeched a door plus not even body armor is going to save you point blank with 000 buck (lots and lots of blunt trauma).
But, also seeing those same movies, Jedi never existed in this period of the timeline and I still think that they should never have included them in this game or made it so that there were only like 10 on each server.
But now that it's done, there's nothing that can be done about it, SOE would never take them out or nerf them too hard because that will loose them too many customers and I understand that. I just wish it'd gone different....
