Edit: Just trying to get you guys to see that an Advanced Laser Rifle is comparable to a T21. In some cases the T21 is better (looks and wound chance), but in other cases it's not (takes 6 tissues vs. 4 for Laser and has lower Accuracy Bonus)

Let's not forget about the satisfying sound a T21 makes when it's fired.

I used some lower tissues on my T21and got around 330 base. I also got a 1% slice on it hmmmm.

Bah, the laser rifle looks fuggly. T21 looks so much better and justifys you moveing slow. And now that stocks are visible it makes the T21 all that much better.

Nice rifle Astartes. I agree that T21's look nicer than Laser rifles, but I'll take functionality over looks anyday.

the max damage of a T21 is exactly the same as that of an Adv Laser Rifle. T21 seems to have a higher wound chance, but other than that they appear to be thesame. So looks are important which is why I'll take a T21 any day.

Ahhh... but what about the Accuracy Bonus? T21 has 1 while the Advanced Laser Rifle can get up to 12 (more if you use pre-CU scopes). Why look good if you can't hit your target?

Sadly, it fell victim to one of the FUBARed 1% speed slices. It lost like .05 off the base attack speed from the slice, that's all. I know it's not the best rifle in the world, but it's the only really nice weapon I've ever owned.

I did some experimenting with adv lasers vs T21's. I was (just respecced) a 12 point WS with 18 months vintage - so no noob. Adv. lasers have about 10% wound chance max, T21's are a tad over 30% (forgive my approximations - servers are down atm). T21 comes in with a higher max damage (mine are about 1020 for adv.laser, and 1058 for T21), and subsequently a better dps (for me sliced its 510 on adv.laser, 531 on T21). Accuracy is better on adv.laser (cos you can't add a scope to a T21), but I've not seen how that works - if it is just added to your overall accuracy then +6 or +12 is a drop in the ocean. However, I was getting 95 sac on a T21.

the SAC cost is way too high u should have had that experimented to 82 which is the lowest it can go

95 is fine. Drop some ahrisa and brandy and you can special all night.
