There is nothing wrong with the prerequisites. Practically all of the Non-Hybrid combat professions, ranged or melee, require two trees from the same novice profession. Everyone deals with it, it balances out the Skill Pts aspect.
If you can't figure a decent template due to one tree of a prerequisite, then you have problems building a character (not directed at new players).

Has we all know in order to acess elite combat proffesions we must spend 28 skill points in the starter trees first.
For instance:
If i where to choose Rifleman i must have Ranged Supprot 4. This was not a prerquisit before that CU. While not totaly wastful in a ranged proffsions case, it is so in the melee proffesions. I cry out purly for balance .
And if i wanted Swordsman i must have One-Handed 4 to move on to the novice Swordsman skill box. If I am a Swordsman, for what purpose will i need One-Handed skill boxes for? Swordsman does not in any way expand any abilitys or skill mods obtained in that tree.
I find the usage of 14 skill points to do so wastful and frustrating.
Do you want your 14 skill points back? I sure do.
Pls. post any ideas to for or against this post, I would apprciate any feedback.
Take this proposition to other forums. Take it to the DEVs
They changed this for the CU so NO ONE could master 3 ELITE professions.
Before the CU it was possible to master 3 ELITE professions with 4 skill points to spare, now that is not possible.
Not quite true - that is what the complaint is about. You can master TK/Fencer/Sword as a triple master.

Aaah, I see. Never noticed that Melee aspect since I haven't touched a Melee Profession in ages.

Bah... this was done on purpose to limit the number of tripple melee out there. With the CU in place this makes the only viable tripple melee unecessary which is a good thing. We no longer have the "Uber" melees everywhere. And, on the plus side, this makes melee a smarter, thus less common, profession.

According to the skill calc on Bloodfin.org, there is enought points to be master fencer, swordsman and TKM.
Not really. I think we have bigger issues than *ONLY* being able to master two elite professions.
I am going for that template in my final Respec. Allready have MS and TKM and Fencer 0404
