Thanks Fred, and sorry about the thread Hijak Martyn, my bad.
.
Just so you know on that Flushing shot2, or any AOE attack. Try going prone and shooting at a group. You will notice that all the animals that are in your cone will have a dmg indicator apear above their heads like you hit them, but no HAM is taken off the bars. If you were standing and shot them all I believe they would all agro on you like you shot them, but like Harpoon said, until they enter some sort of combat state they cannot be damaged by the AOE.
I hope this helps you out.

Ok, I just got trained in Counter-Sniping3 and I popped the Flushing Shot 2 command in my special bar (yes, it's the right special).
I proceed to pull a couple of Quenker missions on Dantooine and I head out to the lair. I shoot the lair, and I get four quenkers agro'd on me - all four of them surround me at point blank range and attack me. I spam Flushing Shot 2 on one of the quenkers, but only the quenker that I have targetted is getting damaged. In the combat log at the bottom of the screen, it says I am only damaging one of them. There are no damage numbers popping up over the heads of the others, nor are any of the HAM bars of the other quenkers becoming damaged.
I've read through this thread, but nothing seems to have fixed the problem. All of the quenkers are agro'd on me, they are all in combat. I'm also a TKM, and I normally just spam UnarmedSpin2 and have no problems tearing through packs of Janta/Mokk shaman or anything else on Dantooine.
Do rifles just work completely different? Do I have to have the horde of quenkers at a certain distance from me? Does the AOE of Flushing Shot 2 work different than the AOE of UnarmedSpin2? Am I required to have a pet or other person tanking for me in order to get FS2 to work properly?!
Help!

To answer your question, Yes Flushing 2 acts different than unarmed spin. I have both, by the way.
Unarmed spin works in a circle around you, making you the center of the Area it affects.
Flushing 2 is a cone effect or pie piece effect. Let me elaborate, when you fire flushing 2 it hits the target you and anything near it in front of you. Imagine a pie piece with you being the pointy end of it and spreading out in front of you for 64m. So to get flushing 2 to hit everything you need to have them in front of you, easy way to keep them like that is to kite. Where technically the pie is spreading out behind you.
PS. Pie rocks much better than cake.
