Well since StrafeShot2 is the more powerful version of StrafeShot1, shouldn't they just have the same animation?
And considering the word"strafe" means a lateral movement, the strafeshot1 animation fits, not a single blast or whatever.

I always figured that the reason we don't see anything coming out of the rifle on the Strafe2 animation is because Strafe2 is the equivalent of firing a SABOT round - it's traveling at such high velocity you can't even see it![]()
and thats why the gun doesn't even buck or move at all?
yes animation please. And its dumb in pvp and groups when your buddies think you aren't shooting.
Speaking of dump animations and your buddy's view point, why is it that anytime a rifleman shoots his gun is up in the air at a 75% angle to the right? It's amazing from your buddy's viewpoint that we hit anything at all considering that our rifles are pointing straight up and shots are angling down from our rifles onto our targets. This even happens while prone or kneeling and has been around since beta.
It's kind of neat how the melee professions, especially fencer, swordsman and pikeman all get some sort of metal drifting animation anytime they use specials though all we're stuck with is holding our rifles in the air and hoping that the force guides the shots to where they need to go.

i'm glad it has no animation, for reasons relating to loot rights.

also i dont know if you guys know this. but since theres no animation, it delays the death of an npc when you kill it using strafe shot 2. like if i strafe a nightsister until it dies. it will stand there for 2 or 3 seconds and then die. if you kill it with head shots or any other move that has an animation it will die instantly when its supposed to.
